You can also build two large rooms and put a creature containment on the bottom. You can see the fish from the top room through the floor.

I run a locker, fabricator, radio, med kit fab, and mod station in a single I connector into a scanner room. I’m planning to run a water filter, battery recharger, vehicle upgrade, when containment in a multi or large room if I can fit it.

Solar powered, via building one I connector and the rest down deep.

the mushroom cave is a quick place to gather ores for vortex and you just gotta follow gasopods around and steal their fart gas before it poofs.

I've personally never used the repulsion cannon for the prawn but I plan on testing them in my current playthrough.

Guys, what is the best area in this game to build my “main” largest base, in terms of available materials and accessibility? I always built my largest bases on the grassy plateaus somewhere near lifepod 17 but because it is one of the first areas I harvest the materials from early game even before I get to build my base, by the its built I have already exhausted a good chunk of available materials. I know some would say build in the lost river near the giant tree but that is a later game biome and I’m still early and I don’t even have a prawn suit or a scanner room yet.

I have always struggled alot in finding enough copper ore and silver ore, especially copper. Specifically this wreck. If this wreck and a geyser are on your screen, you're in the right spot!

Look to the east, from the wreck. You can see two stone arches, one smaller one in front, and one taller one in back. Go straight towards those!

If you've swam through the arches, you can see those dark spots directly below the cliff on the right a bit. This is the caves entrance, or one of them.

Straight down there is the Jelly Shroom Caves, and the base within it's bowels. Tread carefully, for not everything beautiful is docile.

This map states that there is a 5th entrance in the Safe Shallows between the East and 3rd West entrance.

But...

In the official Subnautica map we see there is only 4 transitions to the Cave with the 5th one being where a part of the Shallows are.

So I did a thing (subnautica spoilers, also im on creative)

Named the guy "Biggie" and shocked and shoved him ALL the way to lifepod. There was a point where he got stuck on a rock and I thought it was the end, BUT HE GRABBED ME AND UNSTUCK HIMSELF!!! Then we made it to the pod and I got those gems

I’ve been trying to find the three coral tunnels in shallows with lots of quartz , limestone and sandstone. Allegedly there are three used by speed runners and one has no crash fish.
