Theres a couple of diffrent entrences but u should get the mk1 upgrade for the seamoth before exploring where its found on the seamoth bay in the aurora

but I would recommend coming to the aurora with a laser cutter and repair tool at minimum

preferably also a propulsion cannon but you don't technically need it, it just makes things significantly easier

i'd suggest just scanning the grassy plateaus (red grass) for fragments for a bit. And sparse reef (roughly south near lifepod 19)

they have a dark slightly purple color and you'll find them on terrain in deeper biomes

fire extinguishers are useful
and try to bring a propulsion cannon if you can get one since it'll help clear crates/debris

i'd recommend keeping your inventory pretty clear though
you can get food, batteries, health kits, etc from the aurora itself

maybe make sure you have a high capacity tank at minimum though (135 seconds) since that'll make the underwater sections easier. A flashlight also helps for an underwater maze part of the ship
