That is aggravating. Can only hit the ones around the perimeter, if you're lucky. Wish there was a crouch, not only to get seeds but to look up and out hab windows. They're eye-level only.

Good idea, but I reserve those for decorative plants except for the lantern fruit and bulbo trees, which are just as decorative. Not eating the melons on the perimeter of indoor growbeds works for seeds. Just wish the reach was further on the knife...and there was a crouch.

I've done it once. You're good with thermal plants, but the reactor does provide more energy on its own. I don't if I have a smaller habitat and/or don't want to mine the rare minerals for it. Mining and farming in video games is most definitely not my thing. Player discretion.

Subnautica does a very good job providing everything you're going to need along the way without having to farm or mine. Thank you so much. I'll run across a bottle neck now and then, mostly copper and silver at the beginning, but otherwise it's very well balanced.

Question, I just got into the Lost River for the first time (it's my first playthrough), with my Cyclops + Prawn. I also plan to bring my seamoth with MK3 since it can move fast, very agile and consumes less energy than my cyclop to move. Anyways, I was planning to build a base in the Lost River, where should I build one ?

I entered the LR from the Blood Kelp Trench, about 1.3km from point Zero, between South and South West

I don't have a depth module for my prawn yet, and the MK2 for cyclops requires nickel I think, a ressource I don't have

I brought enough ressources to build a huge base thanks to the Cyclops, I think I can probably create 4-5 thermal plants, 5-6 multi-purpose rooms and 1 scanner fully upgraded in range, can also build a lot of hull reinforcements and a Moonpool

maybe near heat sources for ur power, or near places, where lots of materials hide. I cannot tell ya whats the best place is, my last time playing was a while ago. A good place is somewhere near the entrance to the next biome after lost river ig, and dw about nickel, ||youre on a good way to find it||

There isn't really one because it only spawns in the deep deep biomes like the ||Lost River||, I'd say the initial entrance tunnel would be the safest, or maybe the ||cove tree|| (does it spawn there? Idk)

Personally don't want anything that changes the original experience, but am seriously thinking about one that expands those toolbelt keys. So sick of switching out tools every other minute, it's unreal. There are nine keys to use on PC and we get five? :p

Not hard. Learning how to mod might take a little time, but modding games is da bomb. Don't remember if I just used Vortex or modded by hand, but I'm guessing by hand. Vortex doesn't play nice with some games and mods.

If your inventory is full, the time capsule items are shunted to a hidden “overflow” area and you receive them when you make room, they’ll pop up in the middle of the screen.
