Idk if there's a theory channel but this is my theory:
Gargantuan leviathans are from outside the crater the game takes place in (incase people don't know the game even the ecological deadzone happen in a volcanic Crater in Subnautica)
And the gargantuan we see in the crater accidentally maybe jumped into the crater and didn't have enough space to move around and pray was ALOT smaller so they died
This can mean that there are even bigger fish in the sea (quite litterally)

If you have it equiped, it just works on its own.

When you look for a specific resource, the scanner room will add a marker every 14 seconds if you don't have any speed upgrade.

So you have to run it for some time before you see a lot of orange circles.

Fear is subjective. There's no shame in finding another way. Reapers take time to face. It took me at least three playthroughs to get confident enough to swim with them.

Nothing of consequence. You miss a cutscene with a giant lazerblast, but it won't affect anything on your playthrough.

They're jerks. The propulsion cannon makes quick work of bleeders.

Don't forget to scan the reactor damage. The logbook entry is permanently missable if you repair the drive core without scanning them
