you can get it both ways, easiest if you've got a drill arm though cuz large resource nodes are everywhere, whereas ones you can pick up are small quantities

quick note, you'll have to run a server on your own, open ports and the like to use it so if you don't know how to do that, look it up or use something like hamachi

its also kinda buggy and still in the early stages of development, to YMMV
