You can swim a long distance away (250-300km) and come back. When you do that the chunk will unload and reload. Hopefully your ship will glitch away from whatever rock it's stuck on.

Otherwise you are reloading from your last save.

Actually, the timer was not running at the time it was deactivated. The timer started once I listened to the radio event afterwards.

No worries. I don’t want to play around with files and the like. I was just playing a run through using the NE Lost River access point as this has quick access to the inactive L and L lakes areas, it made the story element of the game very quick. Was just annoying as it blocks pinned recipes for bldg neptune.

If you already have the achievements, force the command and it might remove the countdown. That should solve the issue as well. If you're done with the game and think you won't play on this save again then that's fine too.
I solved that kind of issue for other players. I wrote a program to forge the saves.

Also nobody is reading the F8 reports anymore, but it is tracked already.

random note. it's been quite awhile since my first playthrough, but when i first played in 2023 I never once encountered a reaper leviathan.

It wasn't until my second playthrough when i actually went hunting for them that I actually encountered one.

Now that i'm running a new hardcore playthrough I was wondering whether or not this was the case for anyone else? of course i heard them, but i never encountered one till i actively searched for them.

No, I literally have a beatiful lucky story that happened my very first playthrough. It was so magical that when I went to record I accidentally took a picture instead of recording it. Luckily I remember it exactly like it was yesterday

I entered game based on only what i knew from Markipliers early access playthrough, and throughout the entire playthrough. And I'm talking about going the said route of SW of life pod 17 towards the ||sea treaders|| and in my sea moth and prawn suit going back and forth (this is when I did base building and back and forth material transfers) I never ran into a Reaper Leviathan. But then at one point I'm in my prawn suit going back down into the depths, actively falling in my prawn and the Reaper leviathan in that area was right next to me. So close I can see every detail on it's face and body, I could hold its outstretched fin if I could. Just swimming right next to me for a solid 10 seconds, roaring and everything but doing nothing. Then suddenly it turn right and swims away from me as I reaching the sea floor close to where my base is. Since then I never had another moment with the Reaper but there were times it came close to me during one of my recent playthroughs but just swam away while I stared at it while just chilling in the water. I have named this special Reaper Leviathan, Reaka

nah actually, when i'm not speedrunning my base is typically a single large compartment with two attached moonpools, one regular compartment for nuclear reactor, and a scanner room

My base is the cyclops. I build bases for upgrades only. Then after I beat the game, I build bases in dangerous and weird locations as a fun little challenge

i was tryna scan a dead bleeder

some infected peeper swam straight up to me, looked me dead in the eyes for like a solid 10 seconds,

and ate it

the reaper shouldn't come to that side of the island so long as you just swim straight back toward your lifepod

Yeah I’m pretty sure that seeing a super small leviathan would make seeing the larger ones (ex. ||reapers and ghosts||) an even scarier experience

Like you encounter reapers earlier on so that would be the one to deliver the shock of seeing a huge leviathan if the Reefbacks were smaller, not saying it’s the biggest but it’s surely bigger than baby Reefbacks

Oooooo yes. Keep in mind though, it's passive which makes it a different experience. So first time players scared and questioning may not want to go near them till they figure out they safe. Until you find one with a ||tiger plant|| on it
