The garg skeleton is a part of the world. It's not there for your convenience; nothing on this planet is supposed to feel that way. 4546b isn't your playground, and it's supposed to feel alien.

It's there to show you just how small you are. That there's way wayyy more to the planet than the crater you play on.

As for the garg itself, it was a gigantic predator of an age past. Given it's size there's no way it could survive without other creatures to eat. As times change and life gets smaller, there's no longer anything for the gargs to subsist on. Anything not a filter feeder literally can't survive in the void anymore, hence the skeleton. That's also why most folks are pretty sure the gargs are fully extinct and why the mod really doesn't make sense.

I actually entered the aurora without the seamoth just because I didn't really want to use up my power cell, so I basically swam from the lifepod to the aurora. Didn't even need to use the stasis rifle :)

Just for info, hull reinforcement is useless on prawn: it reduces only collision damage, to which prawn is immune. It does nothing against creature attacks.

Yeah, the Lost River. They look like dull silver. There are some deposits at the beginning of the Lost River (the entrance where the juvenile ghost leviathan is).

If you take that route, head down the brinefalls, and take a right in the section of a cave with a fossil in the middle, you'll find the blue "Tree of Life". I have an outpost there. Loads of nickel along the walls.

The only things that can damage it if you have the depth module are the leviathans.

Even so, as said, they don't aggro if your engine is off.

Going there with the Cyclops avoid some back and forth. You can use the fabricator on it, and you have the grow beds to sustain you.

If you have the modification station on it you can even go there in one go without using any portal to come back for crafting.

With the thermal upgrade you don't need the ||ion technology||.
