Hello, I just restarted Subnautica after a long break. Why can't I breathe in my base? I have a solar panel on top of the tube, and it shows a full 75% charge when I hover my cursor over it. Do you have any idea why?

if your base is not flooded and it is not drained of energy, it should work. I don't know, perhaps somehow the game did not register you entering the base and thinks you are still underwater?

Yellow dot is a creature that can damage cyclops (some of them need several attacks to be really a threat). If the dot turns red it means the creature has detected cyclops and is attacking.

The bug comes from the fact that they're having a difficult time hitting it.

So they'll follow it over a long distance.

You have multiple solutions to get rid of it. You can use a command that would disable the achievements left, you can reinitialize the batch it's currently in, removing it from the world by regenerating the area (making resources respawn at the same time), killing it the normal way, or trying to lure it back.

The most efficient method to get rid of it the normal way would be to use gas pods and stasis rifle. You need 40 as it is probably a bit damaged already.

With PDA pause it would be gone in 10 seconds.

I would recommend a Cyclops fully upgraded, at least the ones you can craft, and a Prawn Suit, with upgrades as well.

You won't be able to go there with a Seamoth.

As it's under 900 meters depth.

If you don't want to go there with a Cyclops it's fine, but you should have some upgrades. Especially grapple arms / jump jet, I recommend the drill arm as well.

Some people don't like driving the Cyclops but if you use its cameras while piloting I think it's fine. You're virtually invincible as long as you have energy.

For the hull, Sea Treader's Path or Mushroom Forest.

For the engine, Crag Field, you can try the wreck in Underwater Islands.

The first wreck in Mountains is relatively safe. It's a reaper biome but if you stay at ground level you shouldn't lure anything.

There you would find the engine fragments as well.

I’m not scared of much in the game but the reapers actually are so terrifying to me it took me a couple weeks to gain the courage to fix the aurora and I now do not go within 200m of it and look up constant vids on how to avoid the biomes with them but I guess mid to late game it’s inevitable to go there. None of the others scare me idk why haha the ghosts are just super cool

Reapers are actually kinda easy to avoid, they are blind and if you hear them scream roar just glide along the rocks as fast as you can

Yess haha I know most people would say it kills the game, (my PC broke so no mods for me anyway this playthrough is on PS) but the only mod I would take advantage of is a reaper deleter lol. My only indulgence, anxiety massively reduced. My excuse is busy adulting I wanna relax and play cool game without being massively scared haha

The mushroom forest is safe, hull stuff is in abundance there and as long as you don't go too far you'll be fine, all of the engine frags are in dangerous locations
