I was thinking, Could we amend the gargantuan leviathan PDA entry to clarify that it has reached sexual maturity (adulthood) but doesn’t appear to have finished growing? I feel like this would be both settling a debate I’ve heard about regarding its age and making it all the more terrifying that these things don’t stop growing.
Also, how about saying that only females enter caves to lay eggs, and then they die in said caves to give their spawn a food source until they are large enough to hunt prey without risking their safety.
So males would stay in the deeper and less confined ocean until their own exoskeletons become to heavy to swim with and they sink to the bottom, when they die bc they need to move to breathe (gills).
