I'm kind of leaning Grand Reef just because there's a LR entrance in the Deep Grand Reef a bit to the west of the ||Degasi base||, it seems like the perfect spot. Did you find prawn bay amd cabin area in Aurora? Either way, modification station and vehicle upgrade console are not in Aurora, you have to search wrecks. Vehicle upgrade console databox can be found in or near 4 wrecks, and 3 of these are relatively close to destroyed lifepods. Modification station fragments are in several wrecks and also in seabed of some biomes

its a good idea to make a small baste in the ||lost river||, with atleast a moonpool and upgrade console.

btw u dont need to resurface everytime to craft a new upgrade, once you do it quick enough you should be good

(assuming you have a modificatio nstation in ur cyclops)

once you have the materials for a new depth module, you can take the upgrade out, craft it quickly, and put it back in without taking any or much damage. (assuming you have modification station/ upgrade console)
