Understandable. But Subnautica has incredible options and it's on of the most fun things in the game. I have to chairs on both control panels, a glass table in the middle with the Aurora model, a closet behind the door and the radio to the left of the steering wheel (forgot the name).

the ||cyclops ||becomes my mini base, and i usually build a more "proper" base in the ||LR treecove ||or surrounding area. if i feel risky then ||ILZ or ALZ||. for them, id usually use a nuclear reactor. sometimes along with thermal energy (utilising the "priority power queening", so the nuclear reactor only gets used when i actually need it

i had i think about 26 hours in that save, and i built the reactor 12-13 hrs in

after completing the game so much, im now doing my 1st hardcore save so. lets see how this goes

I generally found there's not a huge motivation to base outside the safe shallows and you can use PTs there, there's thermal vents near the bulb zone LR entrance and there's also thermal vents in the LR too

I found ||reapers are a lot better at sneaking up on you as they're harder to see and seem to roar kinda inconsistently and otherwise don't make sound, whereas ghosts are very easy to see and dodge, plus you encounter reapers in the early game with way less defenses, by the time I'm against ghosts I've got Cyclops shield, creature decoy, etc||

ok so what do you guys recommend for my trip to ||ALZ/PCF? I'm planning on going there, harvesting all Kyanite I need (16), portalling to get the ingredients, then done with PCF||. Currently I've got:

• Prawn (depth 1, jump jets, drill arm, grapple arm)
• Cyclops (depth 2, shield, sonar, repair, efficiency, and decoy)
• 6 decoys
• materials for cyclops thermal reactor, depth 3, and prawn depth 2
• food + water (nutrient block + large filtered water), fabricator, modification station, medical kit fabricator, battery chargers (8 pre-charged batteries for hotswapping), 2x bulbo tree in pot
• ||4 purple, 1 orange alien tablet||

||For crabsquid just turn off your flashlight and most of the time they will not try to attack you. If they try to attack you just turn around or just look in a different direction and move away||.
