The angle at which you look affects the height you go above the surface of the water. Which means you can go on land incredibly easily in BZ. Don't know if this works in SN1 though, might not.

To answer the question you're in a closed space. So while you're deep, the water column is just a few meters inside the ||aquarium||.

On the technical side there is something that prevents the crush depth there.
