I don't recommend nor do I support any kiling of laviathans. They are no thread and killing them was never meant to be happen by the Devs it's easy.

You can totally avoid any attack in the first place.

That's the real skill and you can actually scan all leviathans without stasis that's a bigger challenge.

these are thermal plants they make more power the hotter their locatsion is

They always make the same amount of power: 250. With hotter temperatures, the rate of power regeneration is increased.

You have to be careful what you put in there, because often there are some weird collision bugs and you can wind up damaging the cyclops badly with a planter or whatever.

Personally, I put an interior grow bed in front of the torpedo tube; lots of extra wall lockers on the wall opposite the built-in lockers; a bed, fabricator, battery charger, mod station in the alcove behind the command deck.

That usually does the trick for me. You can experiment with putting other things in various places, but save your game before you start moving around, and then see what breaks.
