Around the map are fragments of craftable things, scan enough fragments of a thing with the scanner (usually 2 or 3 but sometimes 1) and it gets added to your available blueprints. The ones for base pieces are the same as others just for base pieces

There are wrecks of a crashed space ship around the map, these wrecks are high concentrations for fragments usually although there are often duplicates.

The data terminal you found should tell you what you’re looking for loooooong term. You’re not gonna find the other story stuff till you’re closer to beating the game, for now just find blueprints for essential items needed to get to next strength level.

Also that mountain is stock FULL of lithium and shale outctops(shale drops diamonds and lead and gold). Literal gold mine. It also has an alien arch at the very top which requires an ion cube to activate

Sea treader are kinda like ground version of reefback, and weirdly enough u can beat game without interacting with them so maybe kinda poorly implemented creatures.

For degasi island base surface and face the aurora. To the left of the aurora is a permanent fog that never dissipates, that fog is where the mountains base is. To the right of the aurora is another permanent fog that never dissipates, this is the floating island (degasi island base)

Although there are also several entire biomes u don’t have to interact with to beat the game so that’s also odd design

In my own first playthrough, I got lost in a lot of places, so I ended up exploring a lot. Just because you yourself didn't find something, doesn't mean it's poorly implemented /nm

Assuming the double negative is accidental, I don’t think reefback is poorly implemented, because you will almost definitely see them even if u don’t need to interact with them heavily. Even if they exist as just background art that’s sufficient in my book. I think sea traders are worse than that as there’s no in game push that puts u somewhere u encounter them. But that’s also just my opinion, doesn’t make it correct.

Imo sea traders are a very cool little "reward" for players who actually venture out and explore way beyond where the game tells them to go. To this day I remember my first playthrough in which I was casually exploring the Dunes (as one does lmao) and suddenly saw those weird looking three legged creatures. I was in awe and even now whenever I think about them I can't help but smile, knowing that I wouldn't have found them if I decided to only stick to the main story instead of exploring further

That's my own take on it, but yeah, personally I see those flora or fauna nuances which are hard to find but don't add much story-wise to be kind of like world building rewards in a way

Mods generally don't affect achievements. I had my first pc save played with randomizer mod (played on ps4 earlier) and I have now on steam gotten prawn achievement before seamoth since the mod randomized grassy plateaus full of prawn suit fragments 😅

So 40% the suit and 12% the gloves.

Which means that with the water filtration suit you can still have the 12% damage reduction.
