My first playthru was like 2 months ago, and I never lost a vehicle once, and nothing ever attacked my Moth when I was out of it and swimming around.

Started a new save a day or so ago, and my Moth has been tracked down and destroyed MANY times.

I'm a defensive player, I park like this, not in super open spots. But things will actively come and just start biting a completely still vehicle.

Marblemelon and bulbo tree seeds are great to get, as they give both food and water when eaten. Not too many threats on the island other than a few annoying crabs
