basically, here what u should do after you stopped getting any radio messages and dont know what to do:

1: ||Get to Lost River, you can use guides on YT or just find a hole in northern kelp zone that goes down.||
2: ||Explore it, u will need at least 9 nickel iirc, and a lot more things from it. It's best to take purple tablet with urself, as theres one alien base. After you find it and open it's part with purple tablet make sure to read everything it tells you, as theres important info where to go now.||
3: ||Get urself prawn suit depth module mk1, and cyclops mk2 with the nickel.||
4: ||Eventually, u will find a huge hole that goes down in the Lost River, it's an entrance to|||| Inactive lava zone||
5: ||As your cyclops and prawn suit can go below 900m down you should enter it, make sure u have at least 3 additional power cells and some food with water. There u should get kyanite for mk3 cyclops and mk2 prawn suit.||
That's all important things you should do, but there isn't any info about them. You will know what to do after all that if you will read ||info from alien base at step 2||.

Using the cameras to assess your surroundings helps a lot, it's a pretty big sub so you're gonna struggle a bit but eventually you'll get used to it. I suggest not taking towards anywhere shallow, try not to use sonar too much, only when it's dark and you can't make out what's around you (for battery purposes )

I find the bio reactors are inefficient, solar panels are good but i have to build some extensions to the surface and place some platforms to place the solar panels if i build a base on the ocean floor, thermal plants are extremely good if there are any heat sources nearby, and nuclear reactors are also good but they are expensive to make.

Just build them close to the thermal plant

Place your thermal plants on the heat source and then you build the transmitters with the range of your thermal plants, and each transmitter has a range so make sure you build them in rows according to their range until you reach your base.

Build thermal plant in hot spot. Build power transmitter close by; there will be a blue line when it's connected. Build enough power transmitters until the whole sequence connects to your base. Range is 100 m between transmitters but less from power source and base.

The calculation the wiki has is totally irrelevant. Because you'll only eat them right from the growbed.

So it doesn't matter at all. You'll fill the bars and once you come back there will be the same amount of tree / melons.
