Leaks appear inside the base, and from the leak water floods the base. You can repair the leaks, then the water is drained.

Some items are filtered out automatically.

Low. First it needs to enter the active pool of time capsules. Then your game has to pick it from there.

If it's in the active pool, and you look for the time capsules in multiple playthroughs then there is no reason you won't find yours.

The main story is in the databank entries. Not in the radio.

The radio gives you directions to find new biomes, caves, wrecks. And reveal the fate of the lifepod's members.
