The pause is still there. It's jarring, but every time I've seen it it's either immediately unpaused, or it's to let a disconnected buddy reconnect.

Secondly. In my opinion it's been W patch after W patch since 1.0 came out. 2 weeks to wait for a patch like this is nothing in the grand scheme of the gaming world. Especially when there were good patches before it like clockwork since 1.0.
20+ new skins (yes, they are not legendary quality so what?), map changes directly in response to community feedback, balance changes, item changes. All in response to the pulse of the game.

The way mana is handled is weird. Dash engine is required on so many hunters or they're oom 99% of the time. Hudson becomes a standing rock without dash engine cus he can only dash 4 or 5 times

but, for example, when i heard about healing items being buffed i expected things like last rites and rampager to get buffed

mana in traditional mobas can serve as a way to force characters to return to base, or force them to focus on mana for their early game
but supervive being a fast paced BR doesnt have those elements to the same degree
having to spend 250 for a mana perk isnt the same as having to save up gold for 5 minutes in lane to buy a decent mana item
recalling to base in supervive isnt the same as going back to base in LoL or dota
i think fundamentally mana in moba is to regulate ability spam on casters
it is a trade off for dealing damage
or for escaping it
or healing
yeah, i mean, it serves a lot of purposes directly and indirectly, which is why it feels more interactive or interesting in those games

The biggest issue is so many characters just building essence reaper/health items
and being super hard to kill, while still doing damage

you cant afford to maybe go self healing if you might run into a felix because half of ur relics are just suddenly worthless
but if you have more, you can take it without losing so much power
and it would take ppl longer to reach their max build
i do think itd be hard to warrant 3 relics without more choices though
