#Too much farming zzzzzz

Breach at its current pace feels too PvE heavy and it is... boring

  • farm to lvl 6, find a relic shop, prep for ghosts/night 1 bosses
  • farm to lvl 9, prep for souls
  • farm to lvl 11

10 minutes have passed and zone is smaller, congratulations you can now play the game.
*In between each step, feel free to open a thousand chests or a vault while you are at it.

There is no time and not sufficient risk/reward for PvP due to the bigger map, increased number of teams, and increased importance of gold & relics - you must secure minion camps in order to not get left behind.

And if you try to PvP before the 10 minute mark, you're likely gonna end up chasing skysharks or get chased by skysharks, how fun. 🫠

The PvE in this game feels super beta in the first place. Bosses/minion camps offer zero challenge and interactivity but at the same time constantly piss you off by juking and punching you. The only satisfaction is in killstealing camps from other teams which will only happen once in a while.

I seriously believe the pacing in the current state is not great for player retention. Is anyone else as frustrated as me about this?

i mean yea, PvE is just boring but i feel like there's way more PvP focus? I am constantly fighting, but i do go out of my way to fight as much as possible

Yes the current gameloop is really boring and one bad start and the map is already farmed and you are behind for the rest of the game. Literally the gameonly begins when you have time to get enough gold to slot items and some perks

Currently you farm for a few mins then fight, then do the same thing day 2, then you have full build and it's just a fiesta until the game is over. This patch is turbo pvp focused imo

#

Granted my perspective is from a position of "solved" br macro. I wonder how different it is at the different elos.

Where everything is generally less "solved"

it's not just about there being a lot of farming focus in some games esp when behind, but also about how un-satisfying it is to actually farm - there must be something TC can do. and what happened with the creep cloner power? 🙁

TC removed shards so there is no reason to go for kills anymore

#

Removed an entire objective of the map

Poverty runs feel like ass now with all this pve. Cus a lot of the time you can just never get camps if you're poverty

This patch does feel way more pve focused due to how much you gotta farm to just get your build. Like sometimes I'm legit farming all the way to day 2 which is legit 3 mins of farming which before you never had to farm that much.

I feel like farming could have more mob types I think having unique to areas would be a lot nicer, I think currently you just have to hit your power points early (if you can farm around 2 areas worth you get full build day 1) beyond that I still tend to fight early as lvl 4 depending on the situation but I think if you’re tunnel viisoning farming might just be a need of focus

fr i feel like lvl 6 -> lvl 7 takes 10 years if you dont win a pvp fight

and from 6->7 you just need to pray you dont fight someone lvl 7 and they run you down

# real dagger I mean as a way to grow stronger in the game because ultimately the goal is to w...

I see what youre saying and I think it needs to be addressed but I do think the ways pvping successfully early helps are now just more subtle but still substantial. For example, you are not affording full pots/repairs for your entire team and a rez beacon without pvping. It also helps upgrade your armor and generally can help snowball the game securing objectives. The strongest team at endgame is not the team that did not fight at all

They come by rather close ngl

#

Before, a team that didn't fight was just mega weak versus the others that did

#

Fighting a team that has spent its gold is a loss of resources unless they have exotics

#

That should not be the case

#

It's a BR, not squid game equality bs

#

It's a casual choice to weaken snowball to give weaker players a chance of comeback/fighting

I think the pacing is just really not great right now, If all you change is pacing I think it could go a super long way to making PVP feel rewarding.

Like a day 1 fight around the exotic boss might be one of the most rewarding fights to win for PVP, but it also one of the least interesting times to fight or interact due to a lack of resources and how it usually comes more so down to who gets the last hit than the PVP itself, along with the limited ability to adapt and play that early into the match. And that just makes the PVP feel bad chaotic and not even really like PVP when there's not even that much time for the PVP and it's just the last hit that matters.

Like in all the early game fights it's land at important POI, and speedrun the objective while trying not to interact with the other teams too much and then leave to finish getting the rest of your day 1 exp & resources. I feel the fights could be a lot better if you could start out with safer drops to get your resources first and then have time to transition into these important early game objectives with a little bit more time to fight for & around them without worrying as much about falling turbo behind on resources if you take too long and then maybe the fights can be more determined by the actual PVP rather than the last hits and that can also make the PVP feel more rewarding if it means you get the objective locked behind it.
