Yeah I was getting frustrated with this too so I would suggest go to the Looking For Group (LFG) channels in the discord and finding people with same rank to play with. I don't play ranked unless I am in a premade because the matchmaking can make it really difficult to climb.

Because with 4.5k players (max) split between Europe and usa, there is only 50 game of 40 players at the same time in Europe and 50 games in the us ( if population is well splited, but since u have 4squad, duo Quad, arena is Way less games)
Long story short, cant ask à dead game a fair match making
