If you wanna know if someone’s a Soulborn or not, look at their hair. USUALLY, the hair is infused with the element and makes it look unnatural.

I think so? We don’t have many Fey, and the others are Zeph, who’s part of the Havenguard, Ghost who’s half-Fey and is a runaway soldier, and Void who may have ties to the Risen empire but that’s a HARD maybe.

Given the writer is a veteran of OW, which been one of the leading examples of interactive barks (and he was responsible for some preetty niche triggers there), might be possible. Trick is I think Supervive does their character sessions in one, so they'd need the long term viability to get the actors to come back.

Abyssals are giant kaiju that ate the surface world. They likely hod similar apocalyptic and antagonistic roles in local cosmologies, but they are giant monsters, not tempting immortals interested in damning the souls of the innocent. Eva draws from the aesthetic canon of demonic temptresses, but I think in universe that's just a convergence. She's someone using sex appeal and sensual dominance as a weapon, and she's someone that deals with abyssals (either directly corrupted/influenced by abyssal parts as the map and kp's design implies people do, or simply a mage who tamed a baby abyssal - we know the latter is true, just whether her horns represents mild abyssal mutation or if she just comes from a lineage of horned humans)

All in all, I would look for connections (if she has any) would be to Brall (he has a molten sword, her earth powers verge into magma), mayyybe Eva if the horns is meant to be a rare or specific thing. My favorite out of pocket interpretation would be to riff off the jewels headpiece and assume she's like, the rebellious daughter of the Lava Baron, here to claim the supervive to stick it to her dad's attempt to monopolize it. That's just raw drifting off tiny details, but would give her an interesting tie to the world.

So just listening to some voicelines from Tetra (great job on the characterizationg Groot), she makes some mention of the 'World Mother', which seems to imply a reverence for the planet/geological animism (I think she has a very specific voice trigger, in classic Groot style, for when she finds an island after a long glide where she goes 'did she leave this here for us?'). No super surprising that earth girl reveres the earth, but it does mean:
A: her stone shaping powers are likely cultural and/or spiritual in some form. Not super suprising giving her vague fantasy monk vibes.
B: imagined how cursed/messed up your culture/religion is if you worship the planet as a deity and someone exploded it

To be honest, the Japanese voice actors for SUPERVIVE are quite impressive.
In fact, there was quite a buzz when the voice actors were announced.
However, the game itself does not seem to be gaining popularity.

If you like what other (PvP) games do with their lore - what do you like? Especially in terms of their strategies for delivering new storytelling to you.

I want to mention how Apex handles lore (at least past seasons) since both supervive and apex are in the battle royale format.

  1. Biggest thing I'd want to see are character interactions, even if its just through instances such as rezing a teammate or getting an assist on a kill. We'd get glimpses at characters relationships and overall would flesh them out more.

  2. adding triggers to parts of the map that would make the character react to it in a certain way, or interactable objects.

  3. this is just in general but it would be so great to get lore pages in each of the hunter's menus in the hunter section

Interactions we do have, it’s in the voiceline files in the creator stuff. Don’t think we can actually play them in game though. We do also have triggers for map interactions. Best example is Celeste commenting about Dawn Cap. And the bios I believe are still being worked on according to Justin. So don’t worry, we’ll have them all eventually.

after a full review of lore from the armory, my personal areas of interest are:
Rathal'a, described as an artistic tribe whose war arts were seen as also expressive. Mentioned in the description of Rampager and Fetering Jawblade, they seem to have crude but powerful equipment made from bones, an affinity for dinosaurs, and are referred to in the past tense, so how well they made it through the rising is unclear. Would be cool to see a Rathal'a character in the future.
Iridar a kingdom with little details but a certain amount of sophistication, with both a standing army and innovative medtech. Mentioned in Heal Booster and Grace perks. The description of the former implies Iridar may have been broken up or collapsed with the rising, or at least a paradigm shift large enough to shift the philosophy of the medtechs.
Mercury the perspective character in Generative Elixirs. I and others seem to suspect the role of Alchemical Witch might put them in proximity to next week's character, who may even be Mercury. We'll see.
Oath's background Thanks to Regenerative Armor, we know of a faction called the Oathkeepers, unearthed to fight the Abyssals which ravaged the world (prompting the need for the Rising). It seems our Oath is a model that ended up amid the skylands, whether by accident, duty, or failure.

Persistent Perspective characters A few sources of quotes seem set up to be persistent characters we'll hear from in lore Avalonus, Imperial Scholar, a scholar loyal to or at least originating from the Risen Empire (the post-rising version of the Fey Empire) is the most common, appearing in Battlegum, Gorger Talons, Greenwood Grasp, and Amplified Mana - he seems removed, analytical, and rather haughty. Elias the Artful Inventor seems a source of wild inventions, including Grabby the Squid and Wildfire Drive - an interesting pattern of incorporating living creatures with tech. L.S. Winterdew is only mentioned once, but appearing in several previous media I expect they'll be a persiustent presence too.
Calamityball! Mentioned in Adversity Engine and Dash Engine, seem to be a sport of some kind with momentum and possibly contact as part of it. The fact they both apply the 'engines' might signify something about the players or play. As a fictional, possibly highly dangerous sport with at least some kind of following to it, it's possible we see a Calamityball player as a hunter eventually.

I’m unsure if Obdis is only worshipped/known by Fey, but Okala mentioned that he sank deep into the ocean, before seeing lights. Feel like you're taking similarities too far. Abyssals are destructive underground monsters but seem more destructive Kaiju than an organized ontologically evil faction. They use spiky and demonic aesthetics to represent them being dangerous and below but taking the parallels too far oversells a lot. Eva is not a demon - she by all accounts appears to be a human with minor mutation from her pact with and use of a juvenile abyssal's power. Tetra is from an earth worshipping group (seems stone shaping and monk like) who certain lines imply are still on the planet, and tetra may have been raised on the surface post rising herself amid such an order, which would be a likely reason she has a horn like mutation too.

Sorry for the late reply but I just thought of a really good reason for the breastplate. He went through speech therapy and his voice is more masculine, but he kept his body because it’s a gift of Helia and changing it would be seen as disrespectful in his eyes.

I mean, we have no evidence of there being like, demon equivalents. Abyssals are big subterranean monsters, but they're more like kaiju - their intelligence and physical forms alien. There's not like, an infernal hierarchy of horned, hooved, spade-tailed, bat-winged beings plotting the damnation of mortal souls (or at least, we have no evidence of that). While Eva's design draws from tropes of succubi or temptresses, presumably the in game reason for her inhuman feature is either she's Valari, or due to magical feedback from her pack with an abyssal (who do seem to have a mutative effect, if KP is anything to go off).
