I'm a loyal fan of yours, and your system is the best I've ever used. I've been using it for a year now. But I've always had one problem: your credit limit is far too low, much lower than others, at least ten times less. I'm already paying 600/m, and it's usually not enough. Can you teach me how to use it, or is it not possible to rely solely on your system?

Hi @supple cape. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.
Thanks for your loyalty and kind words! Credit limits and efficiency are a common concern, so here's what the knowledge sources say to help you get the most out of Warp.
Tips to Use Credits More Efficiently
1. Choose a Lighter Model When Possible
Heavier models like Claude Opus 4.x or GPT-5 consume significantly more credits than lighter ones. If your task doesn't require deep reasoning or multi-step planning, switching to a more lightweight model can dramatically reduce credit usage. [Credits calculation]
2. Keep Tasks Well-Scoped
Break large tasks into smaller, contained steps. The more complex and open-ended a task, the more tool calls and reasoning steps the agent takes — all of which consume credits. [Credits calculation]
3. Attach Only Relevant Context
Avoid attaching large files or full log outputs. Only include the most relevant portions of code or logs to minimize token usage. [Credits calculation]
4. Work in Continuous Sessions
Staying in the same session improves prompt cache hit rates, which can reduce credit consumption for repeated or similar prompts. [Credits calculation]
5. Bring Your Own API Key (BYOK)
On the Build plan, you can connect your own Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google API keys. This routes requests through your own account, which can significantly reduce costs if you're a heavy user. [Pricing FAQs]
Getting More Credits
If you regularly need more than your monthly allocation, you can purchase Add-on Credits (available on Build, Business, and Enterprise plans):
| Credits | Price | Discount |
|---|---|---|
| 400 | $10 | Base rate |
| 1,000 | $20 | 20% off |
| 3,000 | $50 | ~35% off |
| 6,500 | $100 | ~40% off |
Add-on credits roll over and are valid for 12 months. You can also enable Auto reload so credits top up automatically when your balance runs low. [Add-on Credits]
Account-Specific Help
Regarding your specific account ([email protected]) and the $600/month spend — I'm not able to access or review individual account details here. For personalized billing support, please reach out directly to [email protected]. They can investigate your usage and help find the best plan or configuration for your needs.

Hi @supple cape Your best be maybe the Max plan which has 18k credits per month at a lower rate than Build's 1.5k credits.

🎯 @lunar plover, you're almost there! You've reached 75% progress on King of Spam (Bronze)! (15/20)
Hi Danny, I’m already on Max plan (18k credits/month) but still running out. The issue seems to be heavy context usage per session. Any tips on reducing credit consumption per request?
limit the context provided to only what is needed, use the Auto (cost-efficient) model, start new conversations for seperate tasks instead of keeping long runing conversations for various tasks.
