#How to disable TOP bar
9 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Hi @stone flint. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.
You can now hide the tab bar (top bar) via settings:
- In Warp: Settings → Appearance → Tabs → “Show the tab bar”
- Options: “Always”, “Only on hover”, or “When windowed”. Choose “Only on hover” to effectively hide it (and “Always” if you want it fixed/visible) (Tab bar settings update, tab behavior note).
Notes:
- If you’re in macOS fullscreen and find the macOS menu bar interfering with Warp’s tabs, set “Show the tab bar” to “Always” as a temporary workaround while this issue is being investigated (fullscreen tab switching issue, related report).
- Requests to remove/hide individual buttons in the tab bar are tracked separately and are not fully supported yet (no buttons on tab bar).
Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:
@stone flint Kapa.ai is still learning and improving, please let me know how I did by reacting below.

its really annoying when using with vim
