#Account downgrade

Hi @sage ice. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.
Sorry for the hassle. You can downgrade your plan yourself via the billing portal:
- In Warp: go to Settings > Billing and usage > Manage billing, then choose a lower plan (downgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; existing AI usage carries over to the new plan’s limits) (What happens when I downgrade).
- If you prefer to cancel instead, use the same path or go directly to the billing portal at app.warp.dev/upgrade; canceled subscriptions remain active until the end of the billing cycle (How to cancel).
If you don’t see downgrade options or the portal isn’t working, please email [email protected] from your Warp account email and the team will assist; they handle plan/billing issues directly (Contact billing).
Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:
@sage ice Kapa.ai is still learning and improving, please let me know how I did by reacting below.
@sage ice You should be able to downgrade your plan within Stripe under "Update subscription" once you follow the steps provided by @red moth
Let me check the knowledge base for you again. One moment! :books:
You can downgrade via Warp’s billing portal:
- In Warp: Settings > Billing and usage > Manage billing. From there, choose a lower plan. Downgrades take effect immediately, are prorated, and your existing AI usage carries over to the new plan’s limits (so you may hit the lower limit right away) (What happens when I downgrade).
- Direct link: https://app.warp.dev/upgrade (How to cancel/manage billing).
If you don’t see downgrade options or the portal isn’t working, email [email protected] from your Warp account email and the team will help (Reach a human at Warp).
Note: you can ask me a follow up question by @ mentioning me again :speech_balloon:

It’s Link (is that owned by Stripe)? But anyway, it doesn’t let me change the plan there although there is a link to manage on warp, but the link doesn’t actually do anything.
And on warp itself, all I get when I login is upgrade options
I sent an email to billing. I’ll wait for their reply.
@sage ice Fair enough, I'm not sure other than what I can see on my end too - I'm not from Warp, just came across your question and thought I'd chime in. I think the payments still work through Stripe even via Link? But I could be wrong. I've attached a screenshot of what I can see when I go to "Update subscription" after going through "Manage billing" within Warp. Otherwise, can you simply cancel it and resubscribe under Pro once the subscription lapses?
Interesting. I wonder why I don’t see that. 🤷
Oh. Now I do! Earlier, all I saw was options to upgrade to higher plans! Thank you @coarse bobcat
No worries, glad it's showing up and hopefully it saves you the hassle of waiting for them to reply! 🙂
