#[Linux] Disable block outlines
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Hi @brisk yacht. I'm kapa.ai, your friendly support bot. I will try to answer your question by searching through the knowledge base.
Based on the information provided in the extracts, it is currently not possible to completely disable or hide the block outlines in Warp. Blocks are an integral part of the Warp terminal experience and are designed to group commands and their outputs into atomic units, providing several features such as copying commands and outputs, scrolling to command outputs, re-inputting commands, sharing commands with their outputs, and bookmarking commands [^1^].
A GitHub issue discussing the possibility of disabling blocks was closed with the comment that there is no intention to disable blocks as it would require significant refactoring of the codebase [^1^][^2^]. The Warp team suggested using CMD-L as a workaround to quickly jump to the input editor [^1^].
Therefore, if you are looking to remove block outlines because they are not fitting into your workflow, it seems that this is not currently supported in Warp. However, you can use the CMD-K shortcut to clear all blocks in a session, as mentioned in a comment on another GitHub issue [^1^].

@brisk yacht kapa.ai is still learning and improving, please let us know how it did by reacting below
@brisk yacht There is a request to customize the Block borders you can track here, which I assume would include "disabling" them or making them same color as backround. https://github.com/warpdotdev/Warp/issues/617
Thank you so much for letting me know!
hi @brisk yacht i was wondering if you could tell me if made it run on ubuntu or which distro ?
It was on pop-os 6.6.10. I downloaded it from https://www.warp.dev/linux-terminal
In theory the install should be virtually identical on Ubuntu 22.04
I've been configuring a pop laptop for a few weeks now and was very happy when I got the email that they added linux support lol
