It's actually supposed to use real item pictures for the preview but it was pulling from dead wiki links so I just hacked it to use block names instead. I don't think I have it in me to collect every single relevant item image from the wiki lol.

Rip, it's alrtight though

cool

#

Thankss, this will help in my pixel art endevours immensely

#

I'm pretty good but I need a visual tool to actualize things sometimes

opal tundra
#

Does the baseground matter if it's going to be covered up?

velvet zenith
#

No, tile on top is what counts

velvet zenith
#

there is also a GIMP palette in the About page. I find that it can help a lot when you want to be precise.

opal tundra
#

Alright

#

Does the Icon size feature do anything outside of seemingly zooming in and out

velvet zenith
#

nope, just there to better fit your screen

opal tundra
#

Alright cool

#

Yeah the imagine I'm working off has some gradiant

#

Of like

#

White

#

So I need to zoom in sometimes to see which block lmao

velvet zenith
#

at 64px the preview grid is nice and big, at least to my eye.

#

you can also mouse over the mapped image to click on the section you want to zoom in on

opal tundra
#

Yeah

#

64px sometimes cuts some of the edges off on my zoomed bit

#

So I use 64px for precisious and 32 for preview

velvet zenith
#

I was thinking about putting the images in a right pane so that the preview is in the middle pane by itself

opal tundra
#

Could work

velvet zenith
opal tundra
#

I'll take a look

opal tundra
#

Hmm, would it be possible to have a zoom function? like if I click on a tile when at 32px instead of just zooming on the general imagine I can zoom in the specific tile and then click again to zoom out, fine if it's not possible but I think it'd help

#

Also fine if you just don't want to

#

Already pretty helpful so I won't complain

#

Oh a change happened now

#

It works perfectly now

#

Alright, well, back the grind

#

Thanks for all the help

opal tundra
#

Why there Beach Ground here lmao

#

If I remove Beach Ground from the tile set it turns to Galaxte floor

#

Just gonna assume it's a minor bug and ignore it

#

Cause I think Pastel Pink would stand out in what is supposed to be Greyish white

opal tundra
#

Woah, it's being wonky all of a sudden

velvet zenith
#

I didn't make any changes today, but what was it doing?

velvet zenith
# opal tundra

that looks like a pretty high-res picture (relatively speaking, of course). I recommend downloading the GIMP palette, converting your image to use that palette, and you can zoom in and touch up the pic (and resize it, maybe ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). Touching up the image in GIMP with the palette applied makes it a true WYSIWYG mapping, then you're essentially just using the web site it as a helpful navigation tool.

#

By the way, I updated it so that it always shows the currently selected chunk on the mapped image, and there are extra lines in the preview grid every 5 rows/columns to help keep better track of where you are.

Should the loaded image be cached so that refreshing the page doesn't clear it?

opal tundra
#

iit workss now so it's goo

#

Good

velvet zenith
#

added ability to cache the loaded image so in the future, refreshing the page doesn't clear it and make you re-choose it
