So it seems like if your host isn't from the UK then you're screwed, Otherwise they can invite and let people in

The only “reliable” way to get them to work is to just take your time with the menu to give the game a little time to adjust

Then it works a little more consistently

So it is more than likely a server issue

Xbox one user using the cloud to play. We also get the crash when we try to go into the join online game. Even before the issues nothing showed up in the join online game. However me and my nephew played together before the update by just inviting through the game. We are unable to join through the party(it's not selectable). As others have said and if we try through the game we get game not found. US users as well.

Yeah you can entirely avoid that "join online game" menu and just invite normally, However to get the invite normally you're going to have to reset the game a bunch of times until you can send invites either through the party or directly to the profile, Unfortunately it is luck based

If you do manage to get someone into your world you should be able to pin core keeper to the quick resume on your my games and apps bit of the snap menu on Xbox

If I’m right then it should work until a new update comes out or you have to hard restart your console

Note: If your game crashes it will just remove it from the quick resume

Ok, so update. My Main world is Suddenly Working again. After playing in my sisters world for awhile my Invites are now working. We can both finally play on my world. Hypothetical, I think servers could be overloaded with unexpected capacity. It would explain why it’s “luck based” to get into multiplayer lobbies, it could just be that the said “luck” is just a channel opening up on the server for you. Just a thought but it seems to fit

It is random sometimes you can get it first time other times it can take 10+ times to get the invite prompt in the party.

People from the UK including myself have a higher success rate with the method so it could be a server related issue but we won’t know that until a Dev notifies us if that is the case.

The only real suggestion at the moment is keep restarting your game and eventually it should work also if you have any findings/ suggestions then post them here so the Devs can see it as it may aid them in their investigation

Not sure if this helps anyone but my friend and I were playing on my world prior to the update. We have not been able to get back in since. BUT, he started his own world and has no issues inviting me to it. I know that people have been able to enter older worlds pre-update. But what if the issue is on my end, not his. Small detail that may mean something, may not. I don't think a host has been successful while cloud gaming. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe everyone who has managed to host a match has it downloaded to their machine. I've spent several hours trying to get Ziinos method to work on my machine but haven't done it yet. It may just be the fact that I'm US based and some bad luck but figured I'd bring up the cloud gaming in case that ends up being a consistent issue. Certainly makes restarting take longer.

Sat through all splash screens without speeding them up (no pressing a)

Invite party button lit up, and people could then "join me"

Once fully loaded into game and you can move / interact / open chests etc.

Invite friends from party's (invite party to game) feature

One big thing to note, after doing this. Anyone who joins your game andnleave to their own will SHOW they can invite people...

EVERYONE they invite to their world untill they restart their xbox will go into YOUR world.

It typically seems to load fairly quickly. I've always had to give it a minute or two before invite option was lit up, but my partner could always just join via my profile without issue. Not now of course tho lol. Only time it ever let us invite via Xbox again it sent to a random persons world that was trying to fix the issue with us.

Update on the workaround I use

Upon receiving an invite to someone else's game, who cannot host.
I get game not found
After this happends I an no longer able to host.

After 2 attempts of my workaround I was able to host again.

So it is indeed repeatable after breaking it intentionally.

The weird glitch still seems to happen where people who left my game and invite players to their game, still show up in my game and not their own.

Not sure if any of this helps the devs or not. But it's what iv seen and have been able to recreate

Also after you send an invitation to your game then you have a chance of getting them into your lobby however if it doesn’t work you’ll get one of these error messages

3• Session timed out
4• Connection to Xbox server cannot be made (something along those lines)

Then reapply that as like 1.0.0.7.1 or whatever that would be? Not necessarily a rollback, but just reapplying the previous version where everything worked, but as new? That way they could test everything on their end to see the issue and try to fix it?

Hello, just discovered this issue. My and my friend had been playing CoreKeeper together until last week (we had to take a break) and when trying to share together didn't work today. We're both US based playing on Xbox Series X with the game downloaded from Game Pass. The world worked fine last week. Devs are working on it, yes even on the weekend. They have several leads to the issue and are working to make sure its fixed. They are a small team and are looking and taking in all the feedback.

Rolling back means everyone would lose everything from the patch, and that would be way worse because now youre creating problems for all players, not just some of them. its only been a few days, have some patience and compassion, go play something else for a bit and let them work. No one is more stressed or upset then they are, this is their passion and they want it fixed just as much if not more than any of us.

It's incredible how this game was one of the new features of gamepass and they can't fix a bug on xbox

Once they get pc and xbox on the same version hopefully they can add cross platform play. It’s probably just the mods that causing pc to be a different version

Yea understandable. I play both PC and Xbox so I am aware of the common hurdles of cross-play. Some games I prefer KBM other I prefer controller, especially stuff with inventories and such drag and drop is soooo nice. I personally haven't tried CoreKeeper on PC but I am loving the game so I really want that KMB option but most of the people I game with are primarily on xbox.

Playing via gamepass but not using cloud gaming.
Not the first time. My buddy and I have about 40 hours in the world.
Never had multi-player connections issues prior.

My Elite series 2 started drifting bad right after the warrenty period, lol. I ended up getting a PowerA Fusion (1, 2, and now 3 version) and I freaking love it, I got it at best buy and for $80 its a good deal. Personally I pay the extra $25 so if it drifts or other issues I just take it back, get replacement, and pay the $25 again be covered for the next 2 years. I only bought my first one then if I have issues I get another for $25 to extended it, I also switched up from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd versions along the way.

Yea sadly, however since I play from my desk so I am used to it and it doesn't bother me now. Some genius needs to come up with a way to make a wireless adapter that you can plug in the xbox works like a dongle to connect to a wireless battery box thing....like plug in a controller into a wireless mouse but only a battery with a usb port, lol.

Party chat doesn't seem to matter. It's in game. I'd say join whenever your xbox reboots

Party just makes it easier to see if it works with the invite everyone button. I use a 2nd xbox myself to test. I'd invite profile and can "join game" I know it works

I'm from the US and I'm having this issue on the Series X.
I've tried using an Open Nat type, a wired connection, making a new world and new character, restarting and uninstalling, to no avail.
I've also noticed if I sit in the "join a multiplayer game" screen and try to navigate, the game will crash everytime.
I'm also using Game Pass.
I hope this helps? My boyfriend and I love this game, and we've been trying several fixes

My method still works just abit temperamental. I still get the no inv issue on UK servers but it still is no where near as bad as US

I was trying to do the method with my friend but nothing again.

Note:

When you successfully invite someone to your world they will be able to invite you to there’s but you will get error codes every time (Connection timed out/ Session not found). Idk why they are able to invite after joining a world but it is doable. There might be a way to manipulate it to get a successful invitation after joining someone’s world successfully then swapping to the world you truly want to play on.

Might do some testing on this but I will have to see what I can do with it. Would appreciate if others could try to as it could further benefit the devs aswell 💜

Odd thing to note, decided to throw myself at it again and got it to work for tonight…

All I did was: restart game (sat at dashboard for a minute or two), once at main menu went to “join online game”, hit refresh ONCE, (multiple times appears to still crash), loaded up my world, and after the length of my friends COD match he was able to join my world via the in game menu. Not sure what I did differently but this worked tonight

-multiplayer sorta worked before the update. If I hosted a world she could join via the join menu, however if she hosted her world would never show up on that menu and we'd have to use invites to play

Thanks for the response. You’re doing a great job. Just a frustrating situation and the momentum that myself and my friends found while playing is nearly dead. I’d guess the screwup is on Microsoft’s end as it usually is but either way, interest is declining

I definitely hear you about it being a frustrating situation, I use to be an Xbox player myself and would hate when the servers for the games I had played would go down.

The best thing I can suggest for you and your friends is to boot up a single player world and look around for one time use items to boost your characters health, legendary weapons, stuff like that. That way when you guys can play together again (hopefully soon!!) you won’t have to fight over that stuff 😝

Thank you for all the awesome work moderating and keeping us up to date, and thanks to all the developers for working on this problem. Game development is way harder than people think and it's never as easy as "just do this...". There are so many other games that I can play right now, and I look forward to coming back to Core Keeper once the multiplayer is fixed!
