Is there any way I can make a server to play with a large group of friends?

I want to play with a bunch of people but the issue is that we would probably need a dedicated person to constantly host.

we were wondering if there was a way to have a server? kinda like minecraft servers? We're not really tech people so just thought I'd ask.
