I run a phantom spark thorns/crit build, random dps calculator says range damage is the best stat, and crit damage > crit rate

But idk i like the 3.5k-4k crits with the PS

Don't rlly need more than 62% crit chance and 214% crit damage in my opinion

I don't like crit chance on ranged due to the perk that gives you 100% crit chance for a few seconds

That procs pretty often for me so it feels bad to put crit chance stats on

For ranged crit damage will almost always be better than chance, though would also depend on gear. Maybe some goofy gear set changes things

Yeah, I phantom sparks are reserved for 5x triple damage owls. I have some really good epic speed food, could get you like a 100 for the owl.

I did some napkin maths and 5x crit damage is pretty good for a ranged thorns/crit build

That being said, I think 5x triple is the best overall as you can get crit elsewhere if you need it.

Crit chance is pretty bad for ranged on an owl since you have the perk that sometimes gives you 100% crit chance

5x triple stacks with crit, and it's really satisfying casually critting 5 digit numbers

Even without food or heavy min-maxing I've crit for like 15k-18k

the thing is, is it usable, even in hard mode, after all the food buffs, do you get the chance to use tripple dmg at 10% before the boss dies???

Yeah it procs every 10th hit on average, and hard bosses are pretty tanky

Also works with your titan spells such as thr tornado or the orb
