Please consider increasing the speed of photon dashing at base or when out of combat. Additionally, it would be nice if gatherable items (ingredients, restasigne, stellar fragments, etc.) had a setting to allow the player to automatically collect them when coming within a certain distance.

Reason
The map of neon city and many exploration areas are fairly large, and in nameless and neon city sometimes trials will conclude before players far away can reach them. Increasing the speed for photon dashing would make these large areas easier to navigate and make the quest experience better. Allowing gatherable items to be automatically picked up would increase quality of life a lot. Furthermore, in quests like major target suppression where restasigne and reversasigne periodically appear, having them automatically enter the inventory without needing a button prompt would be very convenient.

Why
Gathering is often seen as a chore that's necessary for high performance in combat due to the strong effects of food. It would be nice if the gathering process was streamlined like this as it would free up a lot more time to do other activities in-game. Traversal is also a fairly dull part of the game and it would be nice to have an increase in speed for quests with very large maps.

Auto gathering would be so nice, specially for when a zone has an UQ going to happen or happening, the UQ prompt doesnt let you hold pick up to get items semi-automatically, which even that only works after picking up the 1st thing when entering the zone or something. But yeah, lemme just grab stellar fragments by just moving my character near it

Gathering after they give the speed boost like:

dash speed should be reduced

#

in open world games the longevity comes from how long it takes to explore and do everything but in ngs you can cross an entire region in a few minutes

#

but that ship has sailed

#

neon city issues could probably be addressed by doubling boss HP but also increasing the points gained from them

Each region completed gives +25% move speed or each area completed gives +(25 / (number of areas in the region) )% move speed

#

So with everywhere complete you get x2 move speed RappyRun

I personally agree with this... I take the Ryuker everywhere usually but found that I miss out on a lot of enjoying the environment, atmosphere, and really feeling how vast the world is with ludicrous speeb (and fast travel)

But also the open world is pretty empty and lacks stuff to play around with so.. Tetra

I personally preferred the gathering in PSO2 classic because it felt deliberate, more like a "game" (and had RNG elements) rather than.. I'm collecting 14-20 of the same exact crabs in a row every single day as a chore and should be faster/automated because of how repetitive it is

Speed is cool where it counts, especially when traversing long empty stretches of land (and doing loopty loops collecting onion rings) but I think there needs to be a balance

I guess the main thing I'm thinking is that it sounds like "optimizing the fun out of a game" to me. Not that it's a bad idea or anything, I definitely think it has its place in its use cases

Personally, I have gathering routes planned and I spend time with my significant other doing gathering to balance the intensity of combat, so I'm biased as well in that regard, so auto gathering within a certain distance that would leave us with just Combat and Line Strike for any semblance of gameplay

Plus during challenging fights having to pick up Reversignes off the ground or having to hunt for them in the area to keep the team alive is part of the challenge for me lilmonsHappy

I'd still like some 'helper gathering' system to set so you can get help with the items that are more sporadic to collect, even if it's just one or two items at a time.
