Reason: Would be a cool way to add even more to incentivize group combat and roles potentially

Why: It's a neat mechanic already proven very successful in other games (Persona's "All In" attacks, Chrono Trigger's characters' team attacks, etc)

Additional Reasons: I'd love to see things like a Force infusing a Hunter's weapon with an element, or a Ranger "launching" a Fighter, an so on

ok, first one: the class already have more or less specific roles, but everything is tuned to work well solo already and perform a lil bit of each when possible

  • Hunter being pretty much THE tank with Warcry and requiring having aggro to land avenger-parries consistently enough to keep DPS
  • Ranger is pretty much a jammer tagging enemies with blight so everyone else hits harder
  • Techter is the support with heals and buffs
  • And Fighter or Force would be intended DPS classes
    with everyone else doing a lil bit of each role... Like yeah, I mostly play Braver but it seems Rangers r magnetically attracted to my char, so guess who ends up being the designated tank all the time since Ranger's Stealth Strike reduces aggro on them by 80%

2nd one: Persona's All Out Attacks
Thats... just Downs (physical, elemental and parts destroyed) aaaaand boss Breaks...

3rd: One of Techter's schiticks is generating a field that grants a buff which will add extra hits to attacks from anyone who runs into it, they already enchant their own weapons with elements and huh... ok, it'd be funny to have someone cram me into a launcher and get rocketed at the boss, but it'd be better for everyone that if the ranger had an opening that big to stop using their counter-mines and refreshing blight, they just held down Fear Eraser as that'll deal good dmg while automatically refreshing blight on w/e they r targeting.

'sides, all of those would require proper communication with ur party members to work out, which i feel is likely what u r asking for... and trying to force random ppl to coordinate properly is a recipe for disaster

Group Photon Blast in Base Game is a thing and I dont like it because people can sabotage it and you'd end up standing by for Photon blasting for a good 20 seconds

Group attacks works, but not in Action RPGs where you'd be moving constantly

I think it'd still be a really cool thing to see in organized groups though

PSO1 had something similar with mag's Photon Blasts. They could be chained together to increase each Blast's potency. They worked by pausing enemy motion during the initial animation of the Blast.

Something like that could be fun, where timing your Blast's together increased their potencies or added an extra effect. Though it would cause issues with classes and gear that generates PBs at different rates.

in modern pso:bb its also kind of weird to chain since the only one that really matters is stacking a gigantic s/d and its easy to goof up depending on your control style

chaining PBs past like, ep2 or so was just wasting time since they didnt scale with the exception of certain weapon series so someone holding PB was just trolling other people who wanted to fire and forget a nifta

Of course, coordinating a 4 way blast was always annoying.
