During a Collect Stellar Pack trial in Alter Realm Interception, the boss that the trial spawns can be heavily damaged or killed instantly from the falling stellar pack immediately after spawning.

  • At the start of a Collect Stellar Pack trial in Alter Realm Interception, the enemies and stellar pack spawn in such a way that can cause the trial's boss to take a large amount of damage right at the start of the trial or even be killed instantly. My theory for this is that enemies for this trial spawn in a couple of ticks before the stellar pack hits the ground, and the size of the boss had not been taken into consideration when spawning it in.
  • Enter an Alter Realm Exploration Quest; Play until a Collect Stellar Pack trial appears; Watch how the mobs and falling stellar pack interact; (Starless bosses may go purple almost immediately)
  • Video attached. Of note, if you examine the video frame by frame, you can see that the Max Vang spawns in a couple of frames before the stellar pack appears. The rest would hinge on when the actual damage tick for the falling stellar pack occurs. In this example, the Max Vang is killed instantly before it can be attacked by anyone.
  • This was the first time I've seen a boss killed instantly but I believe the stellar pack damage on this trial is happening close to 100% of the time considering how quickly bosses are defeated in these trials.

How is it not a bug? The stellar pack killing mobs is fine. But killing a mob in the trial itself shouldn't happen. At least it feels like it shouldn't be happening and I've never seen it happen elsewhere.

I remember a meme video of a Stellar Pack one shotting a Gigantix as well

The falling stellar pack doing damage to enemies isn't a bug, yes, because we know it can do that, but if the trial itself is constantly one-shotting or heavily damaging the boss that it spawns because of spawn point placement and the fact they spawn a tick or two before the stellar pack lands, and the intent is for the player to fight the boss, then yes, it's very likely unintentional and a bug.
