#A separate place / collection for Discord.Net projects

There are some good projects inside of the wall of messages of #projects.
Can't you put them on your website in a "Showcase"-Section grouped?

It's impossible to find something when #projects has both "talks & projects" inside of it and it'll also (it is) become impossible over time to find something in an unorganised mess of messages.

For example those 2 templates (maybe there're more) - I think those'd be very useful & interesting to some if they knew about them.

I made a solid and simple template for building good interaction based bots using Discord.Addons.Hosting and Fergun.Interactive packages.

Here's a brief summary of the template and its purpose:

  • It provides a structured and organized project setup, including configuration files, dependency injection, and logging.
  • This project has a stub for using the database and unit testing.

Overall, this template is designed to help developers quickly get started with building advanced applications by providing a solid foundation and useful features out of the box. It simplifies the setup process and enables developers to focus on implementing their specific bot or application logic.

For more details, you can refer to the repository and explore the project structure, code, and rich documentation provided there.

A separate place / collection for C# projects

cc @quick parcel maybe we can do a voting system with reactions in #projects, enough upvotes gets it featured on the website

#

I also like the idea of this with bot showcases

restive blade
#

true

#

but also would be cool to have it on the website

#

a simple razor pages/blazor app thonk

restive blade
#

not even: just CLI runner that commits to the docs static repo

#

runs every 24 hours or sum

quick parcel
#

docs pipeline overwrites the whole docs folder on every update

restive blade
#

hmm

#gh-feed message

restive blade
#

well it would make things easier if it was a GH action

restive blade
#

๐Ÿ‘

#

should point to new docs?

quick parcel
#

Yeah

restive blade
#

yeah it does

quick parcel
#

Orrrrr

#

We could make a landing page

#

With link to docs

#

& a projects section

restive blade
#

I like the idea of this

#

a showcase tab

#

gosh @vale wing we needed that rewrite smh

#

@quick parcel see if its doable with gh actions, if not go ahead and do the blazor stuff

#

but essentially we should promote/showcase things people build with Discord.Net

quick parcel
#

Yeah that's why I like the idea of a separate app

#

cuz then we could integrate it with a bot

#

so easily adding / updating / deleting stufff

#

I really don't like frontend & UI stuff
So doing some kind of a web editor is pain ๐Ÿ’€

restive blade
#

yeah its a meme, I also dislike

#

hence why I suggested simple CI stuff that commits static html

#

we can just freelance someone to make the html
