Mk48 Map🚢
current state of the map
not too flattering but hopefully we can improve it
looks very nice! for adequate cover, probably need more/bigger islands and/or more/bigger ships and possibly water waves/tsunamis
there is gonna be a top layer for above water things and there is gonna be stuff underneath the water

FYI that's my feedback for a different map. this map looks great but could use:
- additional cover (perhaps more islands/oil rigs/tall waves)
- spawn points
- more comfortable, less steep, less head-bonkable stairs
- less passageways that players can get lost/trapped in

I've just updated the game with HighSeas (this map) as the 3rd map, meaning you can type /load HighSeas on a party server. Due to a mistake, the map picker will display "Sea Battle" until the next update, which is another name I contemplated. A summary of the ranking is available in https://discord.com/channels/847143438939717663/1416141674215772170.
I will continue to incorporate the current version of each map in each update.
The update also brings faster block placing if you're flying.

it seems like it's no longer possible to sneak into the map from the side, which was a major problem preventing the map from being ready
there are two other problems:
- no spawn points(?)
- some submarines/interiors are essentially deathtraps, because there is no way to escape without pillaring up (which can be impossible if players are overcrowded). it would be fine to use glass to seal the subs, or add an emergency exit of some sort.
It's almost done and I we will add the spawn points at the end of the current building phase.

you have to place the ores. but the color doesn't matter. any color you choose, the game will randomize into the (currently) 4 valid colors, when it is loaded into a FFA game.
Also the "deathtrap" you are talking about I assume is the seawolf (the sub in the center of the map)
It can be escaped as the player can climb three blocks normally
However, it's not common knowledge for a new player and they would almost certainly get stuck
So i will fix that

this map is now considered "ready" meaning that, when the game is published on a platform (hopefully that will be approved soon), it will be used for PvP servers.
I haven't reviewed the current version extensively yet, so it's currently the 3rd/6th/9th map per server.
do the maps cycle?
currently, each world's map is constant
the first 0-10 players on a server will cause 1 world with the 1st map
players 10-20 will cause a 2nd world with the 2nd map
players 20-30 will cause a 3rd world with the 3rd map
players 30-40 will cause a 4th world with the 1st map (if there was a 4th map, it would be used here)
players 40-50 will cause a 5th world with the 2nd map (if there was a 5th map, it would be used here)
etc.
This is just like Mazean.
at least 30 players needed to spawn my map in is crazy

right now, when there are few players, it would be possible to switch maps on a given world when all players were dead/gone. however, this feature becomes less useful the second a good amount of players get on.
the game is on no major sites (approval pending on one site) so players range from 0-10 over a day
oh that's pretty good considering it's not even on Crazygames or anything
yeah, it's a good number for not being on Crazygames or Microsoft
for now, the easiest way for someone to play this map is to type /load HighSeas on a party server
*the 21st player would spawn in this map, assuming players were added very slowly (servers are added every 3-5m)

why not make a map for 24hrs , so each 24hrs the map gets refreshed to a new map , like 1st 24hrs 1st map , 2nd 24hrs 2nd map etc.... so on

It seems much better for a small player base
there isn't a good way to switch the map when any player is alive, because that player may end up inside a block in the new map.
however, this is still a good idea.
no they shld be respawned ona spawn block
only if the server gave plenty of advance warning somehow
maybe 10 mins before a timer starts indicating a server change
