#What inspired SoftBear Games to create Kiomet?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Kiomet has several sources of inspiration:
- Subterfuge (mobile game)
- Stellaris (desktop game)
- Risk (board game)
- Defcon (desktop game)
- Territorial.io (web game)
Ok, before I found out about Kiomet, I played Territorial.io
Stellaris
I don't even play territorial.io anymore I just play kiomet now after the first corgi video
Same
I feel like infinite play style can become boring very fast. After an hour or so it gets mandain, you just redirect your supply chains trying to conquer more land than you are loosing
Territorial.io is superior in that matter because it has start and end, and people are in same conditions at the beginning, not loke stating near some colossus without any chance to survive if he decides to decimate you
Kiomet technically has an end, on Corgi's live stream, Squirrel said that the map is ~262144 towers big, which means that there could be an end if a player reaches that size.
goal set
Territoriallllll also yeah add emojis to kiomet plz
poop emoji gonna do it
Yea, he is, last time I checked he was covering 10% of the entire map.
Holy crap, I just checked how big Poop Emoji is, and now he is 52K big
25% of the entire map
not exactly, 52,000 points doesn't necessisarily equal 52,000 towers. A number of towers are worth more (cities are worth 5)
