hey hey
I'm so glad you asked
BECAUSE I HAVE A WORDWALL ABOUT IT :DDDD
will teams be added?
"almost certainly yes, the question is how. we see two possibilities:
- alliances like mk48
- players may enter into alliances with other players
- alliances would avoid most forms of friendly-fire
- alliance members would show as a special color (not red or blue, maybe green)
- pros: similar to mk48 so code is simpler, can join arbitrary alliances
- cons: there is no good way to spawn near alliance members, we don't think alliance members will be able to effectively help each other
- COOP (cooperative) like in the game Forts
- players may join their base with other players (using an invite link)
- all players playing COOP would control the same base
- probably has a vote-kick system for removing players
- pros: can be used to teach other players about the game in a controlled environment, no risk that alliance members are separate, large bases can be managed by multiple players
- cons: different than mk48 so requires new design, more difficult to leave alliance
One issue is that Jimmy and I disagree about which of the above is best. I won't say which of us prefers which possibility to avoid bias."
😄
Also, you can see as far as the farthest person in your team can see
and you can march troops thru ur teammates
that's like the mode of conflict nations i'm playing resently
Why not implement both?
And give players a choice while in game
Alliances can be made with negotiations.
wow
