we are considering multiple possible group mechanics
- bilateral alliances: players can become an "ally" of any other player
- teams: team captain creates a team, nearby players request to join, team captain accepts them and can kick them
- coop: you can share a coop invite link that allows others to join into your same territory and help you/learn from you
there are pros and cons with each, and we may do more than one of them (e.g. bilateral alliances + coop)
