We’d also love your thoughts on different tournament formats. For example, this season we ran tournaments that lasted through Week 4 before bye weeks started, and traditional tournaments spanning through Week 17 and playoffs.

I did prefer the $10 Milly over the $20 . Made it easier to justify more drafts

Shorter length ones would be good. Waiting all season for those contests to be removed off of your app when you clearly lost by well 2 lol. Maybe every 4 weeks

Would like to see bestball contests be offered earlier. Underdog for example is already offering contests for 2025 season. Some people really like drafting teams even without knowing schedules, free agents, where the rookies went etc. This will help us diehards pass the time throughout the very long off season.

Agree on achievements returning would be nice.

The previous year of best ball offered lower tier entry fees ($1 tournament entires), but that was eliminated this latest season. It’d be nice to see that return, as it can get cost prohibitive to enter as many teams as possible when the lowest entry fee available is $3.

Also not sure what this would count as(not necessarily bestball), but having a tournament where once you use a player, you can’t use them the rest of the season. Adds some strategy to the game. And maybe pay out the top 5% for the week and top 20% for the season. Or something similar to that

I agree with this, I enjoy drafting and can do that all summer for not too much total invested at $1 or $3 entries ($100 - $200 is my budget). That would be only 5-10 drafts for milly but at $3 I can do 33-67 drafts, or even more if I want at $1.

Also I'd like to see a bigger $3 contest. These contests seem to fill up fairly fast, would be nice if it had enough spots to last most of the spring/summer for one contest.

separate early-bird tournament for player who draft prior to August 1st, for example. People who draft early can experience an advantage if they predict draft and player trade outcomes correctly. In the same way, those who draft early can be bitten by a pre-season injury, for example. I think a separate early bird versionwould draw off-season players interest.

I like the concept in general. I love choosing one lineup for the full season. (low maintenance) What I think is completely unfair is the amount you get paid for making it through 14 weeks. That is the hardest part of the entire event, but you get the least amount of payout. At that point, it is usually the teams that still have most of their players (not injured). But the accomplishment of coming out 1st or 2nd after 14 weeks is really the toughest. The last few weeks are a matter of attrition.

Your wording of "just making it to Round 2" is the main problem. I think that is the hardest part of the whole contest. Surviving 14 weeks should have a bigger payout. Yes, the ultimate winner should have the best payout for also surviving the last few weeks. But surviving 14 weeks should get a lot more than it does. It's 14 weeks! Plus, I was not asking for an alternative like Sit & Go. I was just giving the information they wanted: what I did and didn't like about the contest the way it is constructed.

There's usually a glitch on the app where the countdown before the draft ends but the screen doesn't refresh and you're on the clock with 10secs left. Maybe this is a bigger DK issue but that would be my number 1.
I think the prize money could be more balanced and this has been said before on fantasy shows on sirius xm. The winner gets $1.5m but 10th place gets a fraction of that. I would be ok if 1st place was for $1m and 2nd-100th place got a bigger chunk.

For those that don’t know
It would be better if the millionaire wasn’t so top heavy
You should at least be able to double your money by making it to the first round
The $30 payout last year was like a swift kick to the nuts

Agree to disagree 🤝 but just to share my thoughts:
To make it past round 1 you need a good overall team, whereas to make it past round 2+ you need a mix of:

  1. A good team
  2. Luck that your good team has a really good week 15/16/17
  3. Probably some pod luck (especially this year, where teams scored 200+ and got eliminated in week 15 or 16 if I remember correctly)

Generally teams with multiple season ending injuries won't make it to round 2 anyways unless they are to irrelevant players, or it happens close to week 14. In my opinion, just because it is the longest, does not make it the most difficult

Maybe a way to see draft boards after season starts. I most enjoyed the $3 - 20max contest with $100k to first, I think it is a good format for those with lower bankrolls, so maybe more of those contests. If possible to track my draft versus the entire contest in some database format to see how my team stacks up against the whole contest.

I agreed with DLS!51 on the time. 30 Seconds is not enough time to get the pick in. My suggestion is to increase the time to between 1 minute and 1 and half minute.

better ability to see player exposures and combos. Better ability to search for a best ball team by player on said roster

would also be interesting to have big tournaments with different draft sizes (3 man or 6 man drafts) or fewer rounds. Would speed drafts up a bit

smaller price points (I like the $1 MLB contest) and more small contests throughout the drafting window

(Adding to my thought here on the $3 contest.) You would have to increase the entry limit (usually 20 on $3 contests), otherwise people like me playing at that level might need to go to other sites to play all the drafts that we feel like. However, if no change is made it's not an issue because like I said these contests fill fairly fast and then another one starts (there are usually several of these contests offered each season on DK).
