So Suga announced last night and it was announced the investigation into BTS’ Suga was caught drunk while riding his electric kickboard by a police officer. He has since supposedly gotten his license revoked.
Some I already see trying to defend this saying it’s just an electric kickboard but people have ||died|| from incidents like this. Thank god he didn’t hurt himself, anyone else, or damage any property. I’m honestly disappointed in him but I hope he takes this as life lesson and grows from this.

Honestly I’m disappointed but not surprised at the amount of people saying he should get no punishment.
You can’t be drunk driving anything motorized like this even if its “just a scooter”

He’s lucky that there wasn’t anyone around that he could have crashed into or that he didn’t hurt himself badly

I wish people would stop downplaying it. “I fall off those everyday” it’s like maybe so but are you doing it drunk where your senses are impaired and you have a slower reaction time if something were to happen? What if there was someone there or a car and he crashed into them, there’s so many things

This tweet is a little misleading. For his BAC level, the punishment is a fine of up to 20 million won or a prison sentence of between 2 and 5 years

He paid a fine and his license was revoked. I don’t think he’ll do any prison time

I just feel a need to clarify that's the only reason and the emotions I tie to things like this are probably impacting / influencing why I feel this way as well.

i get what you're saying. i think it's tricky because in some situations i think the idols leaving was their personal decision, and in other cases maybe not. if Suga wants to stay and the other members agree, i don't think how other situations in the past went should be held against him. but whether he leaves or stays, there are consequences. the fine and license suspension aside, the public backlash he's facing is pretty bad and it's understandable because it's a serious issue

at the same time i think you made a good point. smaller groups with smaller fanbases might not have a choice but to have a member leave, because they don't have that huge fanbase that will continue on and support the group regardless
