While there are many factors to why this happened o do think that the way YG manages their groups have something to do with it. At least in yedams case

I mean if Yedam wants to be a producer he still could do it while being in the group. A lot of idols have not only produced for their respective groups but have also produced for other artists even outside of their company. Ravi from VIXX is a good example and he’s still in VIXX just under his own company.

i see people being mad at yg because of this when it kinda comes off that yedam wanted to leave and focus on producing. now like mk said yes he can totally stay in the group and do that... many idols does. but it comes off that he just doesn't have the passion to continue with a group. regardless of their friendship maybe he just wanted to go down his own path

i feel like yedam had burn out. he was one of the trainees that had been there the longest. you all know how yg treats their groups, he might have been expecting to be more active, and when that didnt happen, he had time to become disillusioned with being in an idol group. thats just my thought though, he has his own personal reason to leave

It would be cool to see him credited as a producer under songs from other artists but I'm still low-key hoping he becomes a solo artist but I mostly want him to do whatever he's happy with

Ik you weren't referring to me but I'd like to give my 2 cents as to why I think YG is sort of at fault here. Now I'm speaking on Yedam's case not Mashiho. Yedam wants to pursue his own musical path and I dont think that would have been possible under YG. YG decides to have annual cbs or cb after multiple years and apparently they restrict their artists creative freedom (this is what I've heard from Blinks and BP situation so if it's not true please inform me) so if Yedam was to continue working with YG I don't think they would've let him produce much if at all.

In treasure's case, yg gives them freedom to write and produce their songs. In their recent album they wrote and produced the majority of the songs. The rap line wrote and produced volkno, asahi wrote and produced clap as well as the thank you track and I think Hyunsuk wrote and produced hold on. So maybe yedam left because he wanted to do something by himself or he wanted to study freelly without being compromised by a company. I dont know...

Yedam has been a celeb since he was rly young, like 9 yrs old so maybe he just wants to do something different now. I have been a fan of Yedam since he was 14 yrs old so it definitely feels different not seeing him around as much anymore but that's his decision and I respect it. (I can't help but still be sad thoπŸ˜”)
