Honestly I got into NCT pretty late last year and my favorite subunit is WayV. If anything it’ll add to their surging popularity bc everyone will be paying attention to Lucas coming back. His status in SM is shrouded in mystery and him making a comeback would bring so much more attention to WayV and NCT. Honestly, I thought he was going make a return in SuperM, but now with ||Kai’s enlistment|| that’s probably not going to happen. WayV is scheduled to drop an entire studio album (based off of SM 3.0) and maybe he’ll make his return in that project? Either way I hope he comes back soon, it’s been 2 years already!

今天我有一件事情想親自跟大家說。

經過長時間的考慮之後，我決定退出NCT、威神V。
我真的很對不起成員們，也捨不得多年以來的這份情誼。我和成員們認識、相處快8年了，真的很感謝他們對我一直以來的照顧，我不會忘記這份感情。我希望在成員們記憶當中，我是黃旭熙，而不是Lucas，我真的很愛成員們，也會一直支持他們的。

I think what hurts the most and Ik we all can relate if any member of our groups left is the overall way Korean entertainment handles things. Like if it wasn’t a thing for these companies to force these group/members to act as if the member who left was never apart of the group, Keeping them from speaking on past members, not allowing public interactions, ect it wouldn’t hurt as much.

Coming in here to say my initial thoughts as I've just woken up and seen this. Honestly it makes me more mad than anything (at SM) because literally all of this could've been avoided if they had just actually gave him the time of day and protected him as they're meant to. But what can you expect from SM. Other than that, it just hurts. Lucas was the member who got me into WayV and was a large reason why they became my ult of the units. I am very much an OT7 WayV so seeing it no longer be 7 (officially) hurts. I'm also sad that Lucas had to be the first person to leave NCT (just because the company wouldn't do what a company is meant to rjthrhrh)

Just found out that Lucas left Nct anymore and I have mixed feelings tbh. Firstly, it was a HUGE disappointment to see that this was the answer we got after two years (I think).

Secondly, there's zero confirmation as to whether or not there was any truth to those allegations against him, which was literally the whole problem, and that vague statement that was put out when everything began does not cut it.

All in all, I wish Lucas the best. No matter what any toxic person says, until I see actual proof (other than unreliable social media posts), I will never be one of those who insult him.

As great as it is to see him again a lot of this documentary so far feels like SM beating around the bush. And indeed theres a part that Lucas said he felt sorry, but it was because he was so busy, surrounded by "spotlight" that he never saw a thing like this coming, and he is sorry that thing affected his members. It's how i perceived it, I can be wrong.

Honestly still on the fence about this whole situation. I’ve read countless threads and posts from different perspectives and I’ve seen people provide evidence of some false allegations but what I’m really confused about is his initial statement and what he’s actually sorry for. I’m gonna watch the documentary (which seems like is gonna be a series) and hopefully we come out with him speaking about it without beating around the bush. I think that’s the only thing hurting him at this point.

People are always gonna hate him for this and I honestly don’t blame them. Ok so I finished the documentary and here are my thoughts:
It didn't really explain much as we don't know what he is apologizing for. Maybe it's for exposing the sasaeng who kept h*rassing him. Hopefully part 2 explains a bit more of what he meant bcuz I see many people on Twitter jump into conclusions and say that he is admitting to the allegations. He never really specified what he is sorry for. It looks like this documentary is showing what he felt like for the past 2 years.

The reason I’ve believed that Lucas was falsely accused is because the allegations were proven to have come from a saesang and most of the “evidence” provided was quickly proven to be inarguably photoshopped. There are receipts that proved that Lucas was in other parts of the world when the accuser said he was with them. so i think just like everyone, i am confused and disappointed about the documentary... lucas was my ult bias when the scandal came out so it affected me a lot, and still today idrk what to believe... he said he was sorry for what he did but was he like admitting the rumors???? or saying he shouldn't have exposed the ssg???? i see people affirming like "yeah he meant it like that" but we actually don't know, i think they purposely kept it vague...

Also disclaimer: I'm fluent in Chinese but not Korean: ~3 people accused Lucas of cheating, gaslighting, using them for money, all this was timed very suspiciously close to lucas/NCT comebacks, their evidence/proof were mainly screenshots of wechat messages + photos. The validity of the evidence/proof wasn't concrete either way, fans & antis took sides, Lucas sent and vague apology letter along the lines of (paraphrasing) disappointing people and past behavior. SM was also vague about what happened but halted lucas' release with hendery, eventually said lucas was leaving NCT but not SM. SM is setting up lucas as a soloist and released a documentary recently...so yeah.

Whether he cheated on fans personally or not it’s up to someone’s own personal morals if they want to support someone who does that or not. There’s nothing wrong with choosing not to support someone whose morals don’t align with yours. The rage is crazy. But when u look back It is well known fact that he has been disliked by fans from debut for no reason at all. he was one of the main faces of NCT the minute he debuted. He was one of the main members who was constantly booked and busy from Nct, to superm, all his solo schedules, flying from Korea, China, Thailand, being ambassadors for all these company’s, modeling, ect. Like his brand was constantly growing.

it's also weird to me how people act like he isn't a good dancer and that he doesn't try, when as far as I can tell the worst accusation against his dancing is that he will sometimes come in a bit early and that to me speaks to the fact that he is actually trying and maybe even a bit too eager... I honestly don't know if this was a normal thing I can just think of 2 specific times it happened and its' something I saw people mention before. not everyone has a natural feel for the beat and when to come in, it doesn't make them bad at dancing, it's something that can be worked on and I think he was. maybe it's silly to say but that's definitely something that won't be so noticeable as a soloist when the backup dancers have to match you and it won't be weird if you're not doing exactly the same thing as them, you can be a bit freer as a solo artist. he absolutely has a presence as a dancer and it was always so cool to see how he could move with such agility for having such long limbs!

i think what shamshamm is referring to when they said it was the girl lucas called out, they're reffering to a stalker by the name of fly to the moon (fttm) (her online username). there was an incident before the allegations about lucas, where wayv was filming at a location and a group of sasaengs were following them and taking pictures of them. lucas was one of the members, besides kun and xiaojun if i remember correctly, who called them out for stalking them and following them to the bathroom. they were posting it on bubble which is service that fans use to recieve messages from the members through a paid subscribtion. so shamshamm is saying that fttm was one of the people that lucas was calling out. but this is a separate matter from the accusations against lucas that came months after.
