Thanks! After watching SquareZebs video on how to replace textures it really is very straight forward. The biggest hurdle to get over is extracting all the assets and then figuring out where to replace what in the game’s directory. But Zeb did all the heavy lifting by creating a note document to tell you. Past having to download a couple of tools and extracting the files it’s not too bad actually.

But as for that particular skin I believe it has always been a dark green. When I first saw it in the game I thought it was black at first. But it is a dark green.

Setting up mod page and sorting out files requires more time than it seems, especially for a mod this big, so I don't wanna throw precious time out the window if something ever happens with this dlc.

I'm honestly disappointed. My expectations were literally in the centre of the earth BUT they still managed to make me go "bruh wth is this".
Mods made me re-install the game again but since the novelty of it is already vanishing, plus this redacted update that ruined ikrans even more for me, I'd say the mods I'm currently working on will be a one and only thing. I don't think I will ever open this game again after that. And I would stop now and dump everything if it wasn't for the commitment and for you.
Mods will come, maybe with less skins than I wanted and with less cure but they will come.

I've counted the skins I've made till now and I'm almost to 40 total skins that'll be in the upcoming mod. Since I love even numbers, 40 would be ok but 50 skins would be better. Now...

1. Do you want the mod to be out as soon as possible as 40 skins are more than enough to choose from?
2. Or are you fine with waiting around 1 additional week and have 50 total skins in the mod?

At this rate (2 skins per day) I should reach 40 in 3 days from now. That means I would reach 50 in 8 days from now, circa.
(This doesn't mean the mod will be out in 3/8 days as the packing up, sorting files out and taking and editing pictures and mod page takes a lot of time and would most likely take at least 2 more days)

So it'll need to be a skin you have, and since they have slightly different patterns, I recommend you pick one you think fits the character well

since you two have talked about this, I think it is best I repeat this. I will not make any exclusive-to-some skins. Skins you see here will either be 100% public and free or will never be published for anyone.

Since I've also made some skins based on people's OC in the past I decided to not publish those ones for my mod as I feel like it's part someone else's work and I don't want that

If you see I'm reluctant to make a skin based on your OC, the reason is I know how much you care about your OCs, I care about mine too so I know you would want some kind of credit for it cuz I would in this case. Since the mod will be 100% mine, the skins have to be 100% mine. Yes, I'm taking suggestions but throwing some color palettes or animal patterns is different from suggesting your own OC.

If you’re still taking suggestions you should do one with a red leaning maroon/dark magenta for the main color, and you know how some of the markings seem to layer on top of one another? Progressively from top to bottom could be lighter tones, with the vertical bars on the inner topside of the wings being almost white. Like the sunset skin, how it has deep red ‘slashes’ in the center top of the wings? There could be a bright pink on whatever region is the chin crest, too!

Guys, I'm here to tell you that, because of life reasons, the infamous mod is going to release most likely after Christmas and probably, hopefully before 2025. I'll try my best to release it somewhere around the 26th-29th. This is your last call to drop suggestions cuz I'll be then working on skins to fill the gaps as I want colors to be most balanced they can be.

This mod will be then followed by the other mod I talked about in this thread a while ago, about NPC ikrans. It will be much smaller so expect it to be released not too long after this one.

I got another small mod in the works that will be released after these two.
I don't think I will keep making mods after these three as the game, and mod making for it, already lost all of their appeal to me. I might come back some day with other mods but I doubt it.

As for a date of release, I am not ready to set it yet. I want to be absolutely 100% sure I can actually release the mod on said day before I set it and I still have no idea how much it's going to take for sure.

Guys two little things,
Since there are other versions on the nexus already, I decided to exclude the Albino and Melanistic skins from the big mod to give those two spots to other colorful skins!
I think I've already stated this but I want to be extra clear in regard; all of the skins I've made here that were inspired by OCs will NOT be included in the big mod + that ugly full pink ikran I made a while ago that I refuse to include just for the sake of my sanity.

I remade that skin as I didn't like it, at all, but I still wanted to include it in the mod so I revamped it and I love the results! I know it has changed a lot, the icy blue almost completely disappeared in favour of the Navy but I feel like it is better this way.

Hmm... names can be tricky. You could use the names of natural objects (ores, colours, berries ect.) and add a noun or descriptive word at the start or end; maybe tarnished silver, rusted copper, brilliant quartz, swift sandstorm, all of these off the top of my head. I hope it helps ^^

Guys, sadly, I won't be able to release the mod today. I'm going to be completely honest here, I totally miscalculated how much time I was going to need to prepare the mod. According to my calculations, I would have averaged a skin completed every 15-20 minutes, and although I actually sped up my pace in these last hours, I still average around 25-30 minutes per skin, not remotely enough time to complete the mod unless I wanted to absolutely destroy my sanity and work for 10, maybe 12 hours straight.
Let me just say this whole process of taking pictures, making an image for the mod and finally sorting the files, repeated for every single skin in the mod, is one of the most mentally draining, boring activities I've probably ever done in my life. I just cannot force myself to sit there and do the same 3 steps over and over for more than a couple of hours before needing a break. In these hours of torture I had to listen to my own thoughts (since the steps are so boring and I already have developed muscle memory for them) which is something I don't do often because I would inevitably distract myself and that's bad for time management. Well, fun times.
Anyway, I feel incredibly sorry for delaying this again but I won't make the same mistake now, I won't set a new date. Mod will release when it is ready. Hopefully you won't need to wait long.

i found an interesting interaction, with the standalone skins you have the option to pick pattern 3 to override, when i did this it would react very weirdly, combining the colors of navi champions and the pattern of the modded skin if im deducing correctly. i placed twilight dream on pattern 3 and it created this

Ok so thank you for telling me this cuz I found a major problem that needs to be solved asap. Unfortunately I have to remake most of the files if not all of them but it shouldn't take long. I'll leave the mod online for now but I'll need to temporarily hide it for like (idk, probably 20 minutes? Depends how much time it takes for nexus to reupload all the files) but for now DO NOT use Pattern 03 as replacement. All the others work fine

I want to thank everyone for your immense support throughout these many months but I'm almost certain my AFOP modding journey ends right here.
I don't want to bore you too much explaining why I'm done with modding this game but I will just say Rea's Custom Ikran Skins mod has drained all of my energy. I sadly do not love this game anymore and I do not wish to play it ever again for various reasons, mainly the current state of it. They ruined the only thing I really loved about this game: the ikran, its mechanics and animations, to the point the game is just unbearable for me.
I will still keep this post active, at least for now, so that if you encounter any issues with the new mod or the other big boi or have some pictures of my ikrans to share, you can do it here.

Hello people.
As you already know I decided to quit and I do confirm my decision. I will quit AFOP, most likely forever.
For this reason, I decided to also terminate my support for my mods on February 28: I will lock the mods' posts and delete this very forum post. At that point, it would just take up useless space in the server and I don't want that. You're encouraged to send me a DM if you want to show support, have a chat about my mods, ask questions, etc.
(To be clear, my mods will remain online and always will be, but won't receive any form of support on my end anymore. No updates, no bug fixes, etc.)
