usually the folders that are zipped are named "bone top" and etc just so you know which mod it is, its just a title and shouldnt be in the folder

what youre gonna do is go into those folders you moved out

and then drag the blue folders into the AFOP folder

because what you do is if you put a folder with the same name and path, all it does is just add it, so you wont get 2 blue folders, theyll merge into one, hence the "does the work for you"

you just gotta make sure that you put the correct folder in the correct place, otherwise it wont work

i will recommend doing it this way, its how i do it and it avoid any possible confusion:
instead of dragging any downloaded folder into the AFOP directory, open the folder and look at its path on your main folder, keep going until you reach the end and then jsut drag those files in, ill send pics to demonstrate

I always have two of my download pages open, the unzip file, and where I’m unzipping it to, so I can follow that path, most of the files will “walk you through” the path it should be in, and if you get to a point where the next file isn’t there, unzip that folder to the spot it should be in, and boom, done

late to it but what was the issue you had with Vortex? Vortex is meant to make it easier to install and manage mods, it should deal with all folder shenanigans for you
If the issue was it couldn't detect the game you just need to point it to the folder where the game is installed

On one of my saves, a bunch of chestguards only show the Sturmbeest Heavy Hide texture when it's not even meant to be an option, no matter what cosmetic option you choose. I've verified the files, and I'm stumped for what could be causing it - I have a few mods, but none that affect this garment

The only mod that would cause this would be one that edited where the tints/materials show on this top - just go to \blue\baked\characterart\gear\player\rnf\torso\base\g_rnf_torso_base_04\textures and delete anything in there (if you even have that folder from a mod)

otherwise it might just be a ubi bug

Thanks for the info - I don't have a blue\baked\characterart\gear folder - just mount because I use the Minimized Saddle mod and hide flares and the banshee bow.

It's just weird that the same item works fine on other saves!

You can have more than one file per folder, and if you already have blue\baked etc, you don't need to recreate them - just make sure you put the mod files in the right folder

if you did both, its probably going to be a pathing issue, meaning your folders arent in the right places

in AFOP, you should have a blue folder, then inside that, other folders (depending what mods you downloaded) called baked, graph objects, environment, ui, etc

the names of those folders depend on what you have installed

To find the Ubisoft folder:

1. Go to your library and right click AFOP - select 'properties'
2. Select 'installed files' in the list on the left
3. Click 'browse', it will open up your directory

Fta uses the same game files as the main gane, so yes. The exceptions to that are some gear that change (if an NPC has different gear etc), but those can still be modded :)
So basically, all skin colors, eye colors, etc stay

The Sarentu does wear a different set of gear in FtA that has a separate directory, but luckily you can mod those as well (it just requires a little more work)

I have used this mod, can’t remember the name of the modder, BUT there’s options to change it out for the Navi champion gear, Ikran rider gear, and I believe one more! And if you have those pieces modded (like retextures or recolours) they also show through!

Eliminate them by renaming the files inside "blue"! So name blue back to blue, then rename all except "graph objects", see if it works, name "gameplay" back, etc. If a folder breaks the game, rename that back to something else and test the rest, then return to the folders that don't work, name those to the real name, and rename the folders inside it etc...

ah, yep, textures can't update without being unloaded first. With gear, if there isn't an NPC nearby wearing the same thing, you can just unequip and re-equip the gear, so there must have been an NPC wearing something that is in the mod

I downloaded it from nexus mods and then made a blue folder in my afop folder and then put all the necessary files in

You can check nexus to see what you've downloaded!

This could be a matter of modloader not downloaded correctly, the filepath of the mod being wrong or the mod files having something that needs to be deleted (like a number for a color option)

Blue folders do not come with the game by default- they need to be created by the user

the "blue" folder must be created by the user. Unless one uses Vortex as it creates the "blue" folder as well 😄
