The pattern itself replaces the original pattern that most ikran skins use, but it doesn't change the newer type of pattern that was introduced alongside the dlcs. And the one pictured is the Sky's Nest skin which I've recoloured to match toruk to complete the look

So there’s a base pattern that all the base game ikran skins use- if you look at them, it’s all the same design, just on different color regions, or placed on top of another pattern to create a ‘different’ one. This mod replaces a skin in one of the base game skin packs released periodically, not the DLC skin packs released alongside/after the DLCs. You can see it easily here, the light purple on wild violet is in a lot of the same spots as the brown in sky blue.

If you care, you don't have to: Xan'tiri is invalid. X cannot exist on its own. It only exists in ejective consonants: kx, px, and tx.

Depending on your intending pronunciation, there's ways to make it valid

Well, if the x was intended to make it "zahn" then yes, you can change the x to a z.

But then you bump into the issue of the tìftang. The x was the most glaring issue but then you have the fact that the combination n't isn't valid. But you could do Zantiri. It would change the pronunciation as the tìftang has its own way to pronounce it. It creates a stop of sorts like in uh-oh.

Zantiri (Zahn-tear-ee), no pause.

And the a in zantiri would be pronounced like the a in father, important to know as the language is phonetic and there's also ä, which makes the sound in fat, cat, rat. So it's important not to mix them up

Ubisoft had a bunch of professionals of history and language come in and CREATE A ENTIRE LANGUAGE that the tribes speak in the game

the WHOLE GAME is spoken in this language as well as off shoot dialects that each tribe speaks

in total there is 40,000 words of dialogue! 40,000!!

and the language also has functional grammar

For the idea
Night is txon. Fear (as a noun) is txopu. (No word for terror)
Shadow is uk. That's why Toruk is Toruk. Tor - last, uk - shadow
Txontxopu, Txonuk are what you get with a base idea of the words.
Txonuk is better and flows easier imho

i find that zooming in makes the quality better!! like moving your camera back and zooming in to the subject of your photo. you can also use the in-game photomode settings to mess around with contrast, exposure, etc. and see what works for you! turning the depth of field up in the settings makes the background blur if you're focusing on a specific subject, which helps with quality and gives your photos a more cinematic look

Changing position. if you make your na'vi do a motion like wave dance etc, you can catch some good ones, or go to those and back to normal and sometimes it will freeze with you looking over your shoulder or something.

I think the "Resistance Ikran Premium Override" would go great with your na'vi! That or the "Dreamer's Run Pattern", but thats my personal taste. I think all the ikran colors are beautiful and relate to your indecisiveness. Excited to see how you style your new character's bonded and what you end up going with!

Just realised this thread exists haha but this is my dear child Narel (nah-rrehl)! The name isn't based on any Na'vi words but it means 'cloud' in my fictional language Pyran (pronounced pih-rrahn) ☁️

Narel is nonbinary, uses the masculine body + "low"/masculine voice. I based them on one of my non-Na'vi OCs from my original project who has similar eye and hair colours and tried to match their facial features as close as possible in-game. Narel's ikran is Nimun and I picked that name as it was similar to my creature OCs names (Dirun & Nimu) and they're coincidentally dragonlike/rideable animals like ikran :D

I'm already posting several photos twice a day yes 🤣 not too many posts at once because I don't want to spam, and I can only edit so much by myself before I burn out so I need to take breaks 💔 I add a watermark to all my photos I post and do minor edits like fixing lighting... and I found out how to use the depth of field function quite late into the game so I'm manually blurring backgrounds on my old photos to make them look better, hence the extra work for now 😭

Na’vi really isn’t SUPER difficult, if you primarily speak english it’s grammatical rules probably will be a little confusing but with practice it sticks fast in my opinion

Ah yeah definitely don't follow Pinterest, they often just throw letters together and call it "Na'vi names" even when they're letters that don't exist in na'vi like j, c, x (on its own, it only exists with px tx kx), and g (outside of the reef dialect which has a specific sound)
