Yeah, and the lack of response from the mc did it as well for me. Why are they okay with everything? I would’ve appreciated it if, even if we had to accept the sillier quests, that the mc at least pushed back a little

Like who the hell is okay with being told to (SoTS DLC spoilers) || Go into a Chiroptera nest and put a sensor near their EGGS?????? What?? The fact that Alex was so okay with the idea of “oh you will definitely piss them off…you’re fast though! Just run!” || And our mc seemed to have little issue with it rubbed me the wrong way. Oftentimes I feel like the Resistance related quests are just “Alex has you doing busywork that he could be doing because he doesn’t want to do it himself and also ‘youre better at it’”

The experience would have been more positive if the mc at least said something like “Alex…there are far more pressing matters than ecological data at the moment,” and perhaps Alex offered a steep reward for completing the quest. It just feels like the mc is far too willing to be pushed around by the Resistance and considering we have dismantled several Frontiers (haha) worth of RDA bases, there’s no reason for us to be so willing to waste time

I would have loved 3rd person cutscenes, cus in co-op you can see they mocapped the voice lines. It would give a great visual to keep more immersion by actually seeing a reaction. I would’ve also loved choices, I didn’t want to See Alma at the end and I don’t like the tech being rebooted everywhere, even if it is resistance. A more challenging Iknimaya where you use the strafe-and-jump as a dodge would’ve been great, and actually having to use the mouth clamp thing in gameplay rather than in a very unreasonable moment in a cutscene

Absolutely. The one thing ill say about Iknimaya is I wish they would have created a more Sarentu method rather than following the original movie script or the Aranhe way

Or that they would have had us use the Aranhe method but expanded on it more besides “basic game design masquerading for cultural differences”

Personally im a big fan of the way Rdr2 did their cutscenes. With motion-capped characters who were actually saying the dialogue so that it could be referenced for the animations. It was so lifelike and genuine that after playing that game, anything not using that method feels fake and incredibly un immersive.
