Someone could make a mod, that tells you, how many cards you, how many cards you already have.
It could be so, that there is a small number beside your already drawn cards.

The use case is, when you’re in the game for a long time and not all of you’re cards can be displayed, that you know how many cards you have

but why would you want that, it seems useless at best and distracting at worse. A number doesnt tell you anything as not all cards are created equal. and if the game is going on so long that you can no longer see the cards you have perhaps you should modify your cardbar patch setting (we have it set up so ya can see like 40 cards per player)
if that is somehow still not enough, ya can just use tab info which adds a scrolling card bar. What is the practical aplication of having a count displayed to the player? ya have not actually awnsered this. Your anwser has been that the reason a player would want to know how many cards they have, is that the player may want to know how many cards they have. That isnt an awnser to the question. that is the question.
