#Issue with remote Cider app on iOS
25 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I checked my windows firewall, seems fine, turned off private relay on my iphone, im on the same wifi network. if i used the remote app: Just a white screen. If i put the link into safari, firefox or chrome instead,
same thing
though, it works fine via my pc using local network.. am i doing something wrong?
though, when i have the webpage open and it tries to load but does nothing. the second i close cider it gives me “server not found”
It’ll not work when Cider is closed
works fine locally
firewall allows cider to do network things
yes doesn’t work on safari nor the app, private relay is turned off so it really confuses me given the fact that it’s the same network
Did you try turning it off completely
i.. did, no results so i reenabled it
first after restarting cider..
as soon as i click remote, gray screen
i spam click the remote button, it takes me to the cider homepage, within cider
So you tried accessing the Remote with your pc’s firewall completely turned off, private relay also off?
correct
at the same time
mhm
are you on a mesh network
no i don't have a mesh wifi network
Hi everyone!
Loving this app so far, honestly having to use web or iTunes for Apple Music was a pain and in the last few days I’ve absolutely fallen in love with cider on windows. 💕
Today I tried to get the remote app working on my phone via TestFlight, but I’ve been unsuccessful so far, wondered if you could help.
iPhone 11
iOS15.5
Installed app via TestFlight today and found the following after scanning the remote control QR code. (See picture)
When I scan the QR code I see my laptops IP in a red box at the bottom of the screen then it just goes all white. Tried waiting a good 10 minutes, closing and reopening, reinstalling, rebooting phone. Nothing so far, same issue.
Thanks all, massively appreciate the work you’re doing to make a good music app for this service 🔥🔥🔥
Hi! We are glad you like Cider. 🙂 I think your firewall blocks the connection, resulting in a white screen.
Ah thanks for that! Will check it on devices 😁
