#Add Wallpaper engine support for Mica

as @candid tiger said you can take frame of Wallpaper Engine's wallpaper and set it as System Background
In reguards to using the colour of the window behind it, that is impossible with mica and won’t be added
That is acrylic which won’t be added
Even Microsoft apps use mica a similar way we do, by using your desktop wallpaper and using those colours
If a browser window is behind an app with mica, it will still show the desktop background colours, acrylic is the effect that shows whatever colour, whether that be desktop background or app, behind it
And since acrylic is not gonna be added, micas all we got
In terms of pulling the wallpaper from wallpaper engine, it could be done or not idrk
are you a developer?
I am not a developer for cider no (only a theme dev) but I’ve asked to have actylic support implemented many times before and the answer was no
Okay
But you are right
I don’t speak for devs so see what they have to say
I agree with you tho that having cider pull your wallpaper engine would be a big help
damn it, when you think about it, there's no way Microsoft can come up with a completely finished and unified transparent UI.
but it would take too much resources tbh
that would be resource heavy and also, it wont work cuz there is no blur and no shadow type if we import it in mica or in any js whatsoever
I'm not a cider member developer ( only contributor). I tell you the mica is a hackky Windows screen frame to take color based on the desktop wallpaper ( as I see in the code) the effects like you want it's imposible, sorry.
This things are not a problem to Microsoft or cider team. It's because electron is a modded chromiun running inside a custom html local page
