#Possible license transfer from Windows Store to somewhere else (Cider taproom/itch.io)?

Hi guys!

I've previously purchased Cider on Microsoft Store, and I'm daily driving Linux now. Is there a way to migrate my purchase/license? The reason why I didn't purchase it from itch.io is that the purchase was made way back when Cider 2 was very much an early access, and Windows Store was the only way to get it.

I know that there's a platform (https://taproom.cider.sh/) in the works, but the Microsoft Store sign in button is currently unavailable, and I'd assume it's still WIP.

I do really want to enjoy Cider on my Linux setup, and some help would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Microsoft sign-in won't be available for a good time because microsoft is being microsoft, so the only best option is to buy it through itch.io

Turns out the be a bit more complicated. Just checked my order history and found that I initially bought Cider 1 (now called Cider Legacy), and then through a limited time upgrade to Cider 2 on Microsoft Store. So there's no option to request a refund.

Yeah but I do have the Cider 2 license because the Cider team offered an upgrade when Cider 2 was announced and during early access.
