I paid for the Cider 1.0 when it released as a contribution as I liked Apple Music and I'm a windows user. I've lost tracked since I have not used my PC for months since June and now there is a new Cider and I have to pay for it? I thought if I bought the first one, the next versions were free.

There is Cider Classic and the Current "Cider", the classic one, that you probably have, was a sorta test, and I know it did cost money. But that version was also free on Github. This time around, it's not anymore. This iteration is the "final" one normally.
So yes, you need to buy it again, and yes, the last time.

Got it, one last question. Does the new Cider support Lossless since the Apple Music Beta does sort of do lossless? By the way, I love the Full Screen Animated Lyrics from the Classic back when I used it.

we'd need to reverse engineer Apple's DRM system in order to get lossless
